Altland Heavy Duty Battery Tie Down Bracket (Tie Down Only, Black)

I bought a project car some time back and one of the previous owners had relocated the battery to the trunk. One of my first priorities was to replace the handmade MDF box with a good, safe, battery tray. The Jegs unit I bought had a really flimsy tie down bracket that was bending under the stress of a couple of hand-tight wingnuts. I didn't really like the idea of taking the car out like this and wouldn't even try to pass tech like that; I'd get laughed out of there. This tie down bracket solved the problem wonderfully. No bending or buckling. The battery is snugly in place, and it looks handsome to boot. I would definitely buy one of these again if I needed to replace a rusted or aging tie down bracket in another of my cars.

I installed this on my 2002 Nissan Maxima with an Odyssey 34R-PC1500 battery. The OEM tie down only touched the edges of the battery, so I wanted a tie down that touches the entire top surface, and this one does. The tie down came packaged well, feels solid in my hand, and has a nice design and matte black finish. The length is perfect for the Maxima. I'm glad I chose this over more expensive options.

I installed a new Odeyssey grp 34 battery and was not happy with the OEM tie down, it was contacting the battery on only two shoulders of the battery. This tie down contacts the battery across the entire width (top) of the battery. Because the Odeyssey is slightly smaller than the Toyota battery (but more CCA, 850 vs 710), the new tie down is slightly wide for the battery by about 1/4" or so on each side (see photo), but I find this not a real concern... the new tie down firmly holds the battery in place.

I really wanted to upgrade an Aluminum (Custom) Battery Holder for my Toyota Tundra; Many Tundra or "TRD" versions are over $70 (for something that you rarely see under the hood, but they might have the word "Toyota" or "TRD" or something similar stamped in). I wanted to order the BLUE version, but it was not available...so I went with the MATTE BLACK. Unfortunately it was very nice, but DID NOT FIT my Vehicle/Batter whatsoever. More money wasted...ugh...frustrating!

I installed this in my 2010 Tacoma. It was a hair tight on the group 27 battery, but still fit. I used one factory j-hook, but the other was welded to the original clamp. So be prepared to purchase an additional J-bolt (s).

Ok,so if we know about anodizing, we will know of color fade. So I live in southwest, brutal uvs, can fade about anything. So this part is under hood,no uvs,sunlight. The thing is that heat,could if the soak of electro color,that perhaps the colorants didn't hold,my case.So my part is turning a pink color.I like pink,ahem,so it still does what's needed,bit beware, ...

I chose this product because it was sleek, not branded with someone's company, and priced well. After receiving the product, not only was it all the above but the quality was top notch. I would definitely purchase again if I were looking for a battery tie strap holder. **You will need to source your own battery hold down bolts, however, that is pretty much with any battery tie-down bracket. Great product!

Wow, Im impressed with this part! Very well made, solid, and light battery tie down. The matte red is absolutely beautiful as well, I love the color on this thing. Even though its a matte color I put a little seal & shine on it before install and it really pops! Highly recommend this part if youre looking at it!
