does it fill up with water like most hollow bodies do

I don’t have any problems that way. It’s my first choice frog.

Do these (1-3/4 size) float the way they should ? others i might consider that are better (small sizes) ? have never fished a frog before. thanks; b

Very good lure. About every 5 or 6 casts I will squeeze the body. Sometime a little water comes out sometimes not. They float either way. If there is a little water inside it sit a very little bit tail heavy. You won't notice it a lot fishing pads and mats. Only if trying to walk it.

Is a 1.75 inch too small to fish a lake with

It's not too small to fish a lake at all. However, if you are looking to catch bigger fish I would go with the 2.5" or even the 2.75" for lake fishing. The 1.75" is best for small pond fishing.

What is wieght of lure?

I can’t tell by the picture which size this is. I mostly throw the smallest one on a baitcaster. The larger one gets fewer bites, for me. It’s heavy enough.
