Canadians are familiar with the cold and this is an excellent design.
You will not be cold in this water repellent coat. The hood comes several inches in front of the face when pulled up, to protect from wind and snow. A bit on the heavier side, more than down or synthetic, but the density is what insures that there are no cold spots in the jacket. Canadians are familiar with the cold and this is an excellent design.

Can't decide...
Beautiful color and very warm. I am 5'7" tall, 120 lbs. Ordered a Medium. Shoulders are snug, hips are loose. I should say I have large shoulders, boxer. The zipper is a pain, have to get it just so or it won't zip and then be careful not to let it catch on the material. Thumb holes are a good idea, don't know why all parkas don't have them. I am really on the fence about this coat. Not cheap. It's difficult to zip it all the way up to my chin, don't know why there isn't a snap there. It's replacing a 10 year old parka from a well known outdoor outfitter that starts with LL. The old parka weighed a lot more and didn't keep me quite as warm as this one. And was not as good looking. Get lots of compliments.

i was so disappointed in the sizing because I absolutely loved the styling and materials. it was 2 sizes too small....please correct your web info if possible...just saying "it runs small" was not enough info.

It's beautiful, but runs very small
This coat is extremely well made, the hood is super luxurious and it is warm.. The cons - runs at least a size small - two if you need to wear layers or a substantial mid-layer underneath. It's a bit stiff, as the fabric is really, really sturdy. This sucker will not rip, but it's not a lightweight jacket either. Lastly - the hood. I love it - the size, the fur lining, the coyote trim - it really is the signature piece on the coat. However - it is HUGE and limits your rear peripheral vision (a problem when you are driving). I suspect I will detach the hood on dry days.

It had the same problem with the hood as several Pajar Coats.Unfolded it is too big to be able to see around. But you cannot fold it because the double fur looks really ugly and disproportionate. Coyote trip is very narrow exposing bunny fur.The sandy color however is absolutely gorgeous I wish I could've kept it

Warm
SO WARM! With the fur hood sitting on your shoulders it's even warmer. The fur does make the hood very heavy so I felt like the hood was dragging my coat back and off of my shoulders. I now only attach the fur if it's freezing. The sizing is terrible. Most of my coats are 0s or 2s. I got a large and it fits great over sweaters and fleeces. If you intend to wear it only over a shirt, then probably going up just one size is sufficient. No loss of down yet. The fabric lining is very thin which worries me, but so far (3 months) no tears. The zipper does like to get caught on the thin material though. Nice deep pockets. Definitely not pack-able. Love it.
