Better Safe than Sorry
I recently noticed that the locking ring on my pool filter was showing some signs of wear, so to err on the safe side I purchased a replacement from Amazon. This is an original equipment item and purchasing it from Amazon saved me a lot of money compared to ordering it from my pool store. The cost was almost half as much as the pool store and that makes the purchase easier to take. If you have any doubts about the condition of your locking ring, it's best to replace it, since 20 or more pounds of pressure can create some real havoc.
