Chance the Tide: How to Cruise to the Bahamas for the Winter

The book has some good tips about spending the winter in the Bahamas but it's a bit thin in both bulk and content. Should you buy this book? Perhaps, as there aren't a lot of books that provide good background for cruising in this area. Perhaps the highlight of the book is the information that the author provides about provisioning which is quite helpful.

This is a book that does NOT live up to expectations. I'm not interested and did not buy the book to read that I might want GPS or a dinghy for a trip to the Bahamas. For me there was not remotely relavant input till page 69. Limited but Helpful input ends on p 107. Lordy. This is not a destination guide. It is an amateurs view of what to take on a first big cruise. There cannot have been an editor involved.

I was very excited to get this book. I only read the first couple of chapters because it was all inofrmation that is common sense. Not a good investment.
