Two days before Christmas and at just 26 years old, Chris Wark found himself diagnosed with stage III colon cancer. Before he knew it, he was wheeled into surgery, where a golf ball-sized tumor and a third of his colon were removed. Doctors told Wark that as soon as he recovered from surgery, he would need 9 to 12 months of chemotherapy in order to prevent a recurrence. But when the first meal he was served in the hospital was a cafeteria-style sloppy joe, he had the first hint that maybe, just maybe, taking into account his diet and nurturing his own health might be the way to heal his body more effectively, even if it went against the advice of the traditional medical establishment and his family and friends. Millions of readers have followed Wark's journey on his blog, Chris Beat Cancer , and in his debut work he dives deep into the reasoning and scientific foundation behind his approach and the strategies that he used to successfully heal his body from cancer. Wark exposes the corruption and ineffectiveness found in the medical and cancer industries while exploring a variety of perspectives and areas of well-being in order to shape his integrative approach. Drawing from the most up-to-date and rigorous research as well as his deep faith, he shares his healing strategies, including his Beat Cancer Mindset; radical diet and lifestyle changes; and means for mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. Packed with both intense personal insight and extensive healing solutions, Chris Beat Cancer will inspire and guide you on your own journey toward wellness. "I am not "lucky" or special. I am just a regular guy who listened to his instincts, stepped out in faith, and took massive action to help his body heal. I eliminated everything in my life that may have contributed to my disease, and changed the internal terrain of my body - making it a place where cancer could not thrive. What I did, I believe anyone can do, including you." Review: An inspirational book - An inspirational book, especially for those diagnosed with cancer. There are many takeaways to begin your healing process. Thank you. Review: Excellent book for general health - must read - I have been reading books on nutrition and cancer for over 40 years - started when my mother had health issues. This book is really well written, it is clear, concise and easy to follow. Well written and researched. I also like the fact that whilst he initially went totally raw food, he saw a nutritionist and was guided to not going totally raw. I like people who can give the basic principles and then acknowledge some flexibility - not everyone suits a raw diet. Only caveat I would give, hasten slowly. Those that know of the Gerson therapy, and its history - that started with just juicing, and they found that people were dying as they were overwhelmed with the body's detoxing - they could not eliminate what was being detoxed fast enough, and the body got overwhemed. That was why Gerson then added the enema protocol with the diet. I am not suggesting enemas(!) but unless you are experienced or informed, then you might want to see a BANT nutritionist to help with making sure that you have support with colon and liver function. Probably not a problem for the author as he was young when he started - but an older person might not have the energy to cope with a full blown fast detox! Otherwise - there are plenty of really helpful tips on how to stop poisoning yourself, and to reduce the body's load - then it can get on with its daily work of cleansing and repairing. This book is added to my list of must reads. As my Dad used to say, if you can get one line out of a book that is helpful, it makes the purchase worthwhile - this book is full of useful information!! A lot, I had read already - but this book really brings it all together in one volume. A real achievement. Fast mimicking fasting was new to me - and I have bought recipe books as this is something which I think is helpful, easier to do - and acieves the health benefit of more "hardcore fasting".

Excellent book, can't put it down!
I have followed Chris online, often reading the testimonies on his site. This book is very readable and makes compelling reading for anyone interested in health and nutrition. I appreciate that Chris holds strong Christian values, indeed it is the simple, natural, fresh, fruit and veg, that God has given us, that are the key to healing in the body. Chris's testimony is very interesting and the book is then dedicated to advice on moving forward with determination to improve your health through diet, exercise, positive thinking and attitude and addressing our spiritual health, 'eliminating the trash' wherever possible. Much of the information, I am familiar with but I am finding this book so motivating, a real inspiration to 'get going' and sort myself out! I have also learned about some new superfoods - the Indian gooseberry! Only half way through but wanted to express my enthusiasm for the book as someone who has bought and read many books that address these issues. I am interested for general health and weight loss and hopefully avoiding serious future health issues; I have watched family and friends suffer much (and sometimes die) after trusting their health totally to the 'experts' in medicine, it was heart breaking and frustrating. We all know the problems with the modern diet, playing Russian roulette with our health, I believe this book gives hope, direction and sensible advice, hopefully a valuable tool to the path of 'Everything to gain and nothing to lose apart from excess weight and a compromised health profile'.

A Life Saver
I could never get on with chemotherapy and needed something else. However, doctors and consultants don't ever offer alternatives, and so I had to go out and find my own. This book has all you need to stay alive (in my case, anyway) without having to go through the trauma of chemo and wearing chemo pumps each week. It works for me and thousands of others, I know so, worth reading and learning that there is another way that may work for you, too.

Chris Beat Cancer
Iโm halfway through and so far found it full of interesting statistics. There is a lot of talk of profiteering by pharmaceutical companies and I think a lot of what is talked about may not occur the same if Chris was a UK resident accessing NHS services. Private healthcare providers will want to make as much as they can from your case whereas NHS will only provide the care that is genuinely needed.

Iโm C free
Incredible book. Practical and spiritual. Iโve used from start to finish. I had C 12 months ago (s3 invasive breast) and was able to heal it using this book alone plus surgery.
