The Air Racer

This book is a good collection of photos and profile/diagrams of many of the classic air racing aircraft of the 20th century. It does not go into great depth..that was not the goal of the publication. It also is all black and white, but most of the subject aircraft were operated before color photography were economically available to average guys and gals with cameras at the air races/air shows! It is paperbound, and as my copy was a slight used example, it was a bit worn, but completely useful in my requirements. I do wish an updated edition moving on to subjects from the 1990s and later were available, but it is not to be. Interested in the topic? You'll like this book. Great book

Air　Racerの模型を製作するには全て英文ですが大変参考になります。全て手描き図面で１頁に一機の割でトレースされていますので、そのまま拡大コピーで図面ができるように配慮されていますが、全てインチサイズの図面で一番大きい縮尺が１／４インチ・サイズ（１/48)で後１/8,3/16,5/32等で１９０９年から順に現代まで１４５機のレーサーが書かれています、また機体の塗装も詳しく考察されているようです。ソリッド・モデルよりRCスケール・モデラー向けかもしれません。
