Effective and Economical Dehumidifier
I have had this exact model for 9 years and it is still going strong! I just purchased for a friend for her housing warming gift. The noise level is good. We can not hear it in our home when it is removing humidity from our basement. It is relatively quiet when I am standing next to it when I am in the basement. It does a great job removing the humidity. I am collecting the water in the dehumidifierโs water collection receptacle. The receptacle full of water is not too heavy, but collects a significant amount of water, and has a handle for carrying. It is an economical value for keeping the basement dry and to remove dampness and odors.

Frigidaire 35-pint dehumidifier
I have owned this dehumidifier for about 10 days. It was put to good use as my water heater blew a line off the top and sprayed water all over. Fortunately, I was home and heard the pop. I remove as much water as possible with a floor scrubber. Then I put the dehumidifier in that room, and it quickly removed the moisture. The water bucket holds a good amount of water and is easy to remove and carry. Three fan speed make and the humidity level make it easy to adjust to the situation of the area you want to dehumidify.

Comfy Home
This has been the greatest thing with the extreme heat we have had. It helps to the load off the AC unit and make the house feel more comfortable. Does have automatic shut off when it fills up. Easy to use. When it cuts of you just pull the container out drain it if you didnโt use the hose.

A little disappointed
I gave this dehumidifier a try as my previous Frigidaire needed to be replaced. I loved the old Frigidaire but was not equally impressed with this model. It seemed to struggle to keep up (my previous model was a 30 pint) and I did notice a large increase in my electric bill. It also was a little loud. I returned it without issue. Customer service was great.

Dependable Dehumidifier
We previously had a Frigidaire dehumidifier that lasted over 20 years... so going back to them was a no brainer. This one is quieter and very efficient. Deliver from Amazon was very quick.

Iโd rather eat glass than buy this again
Have Had this for a little over 12 months, worked great until last week when it started throwing an error code associated with frozen evaporator coils. I checked the coils and there was zero frost on them, so I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. Ran for a few hours without issue then threw the code again. I read it could be due to a dirty filter so I cleaned that and same thing - worked for a bit then the same issue. Tried to reach out to Frigidaire but their contact page of the website is completely blank and from what I can find online they donโt even have an email address. I will never buy a product from this brand for the rest of my life.

Frigidaire 35 Pint Dehumidifier FHDD3534Y1
Dehumidifier works well to remove humidity, with the usual caveats that the performance is lower when humidity is lower. It does still pull a good amount of water even when set at the lowest level and the room is 35-40%RH. The 35 pint unit is small, has casters and is lightweight enough to move around easily. The main drawback is the noise is significant and although there are 3 fan levels, the lowest and highest are not very far apart. At a fan level of Low it's still not pleasant to have it running in a room you occupying. Minus one star for that. The operating controls are limited and somewhat confusing. The humidity indicator displays only what the unit is set to in 5% increments (why not 1% or 2%?), not the room humidity. There is no LED to indicate when the compressor is turning on and off. You have to feel the warm vs. cool exhaust. There is an app that requires a smartphone and Wi-Fi (plus email address) that will show you the actual humidity and other settings. It allows you to remotely control the dehumidifier including creating Tasks like turning on and off at various times. The App has some bugs like the dehumidifier not reacting to some settings or in a Task. I have not figured it all out, but most users are probably better off just finding a good humidity setting. This 35 pint model has no pump so the hose option is pretty limited unless you set it up high and let the hose drain somewhere (hose not included). Without a drain hose the bucket can fill in less than a day if humid. However, the 35 pint is great for portable uses where a tank is fine as compared to a large, heavy model that is more permanent. There is a simple screen style filter to prevent dirt and debris from getting into the coils. There is an optional fancier filter.

Simple and effective
So far, so good. Set it and forget it for me, I use the continuous drain hose set it down in my basement crawlspace. It's been working for about a month. Very quiet compared to my old Frigidaire that finally died. Hopefully more energy efficient too.
