More powerful than expected and easy to use
Yes, it's really that easy to use. If you can't figure it out within a few minutes of reading instructions or googling, you probably shouldn't be messing with "smart" home devices to begin with. If that sounds rude? You're probably the person who needs to hear it. Just google it - I promise you'll figure it out. Take a breath and be rational with your expectations.Bought this to use with my SwitchBot and it works really well. Nice bonus is that I also use it to control my television and other IR devices. Lazy, party of one!Easy to set up, works via the internet, iOS, Android, Alexa, Google Home. Can customize the LEDs or turn them completely off.It would be great for a kid's room for the lighting effects alone. Maybe pair it with a SwitchBot to turn a light on/off when there are monsters under the bed.Bottom line? I'd buy it again. Really enjoy using it and making my outdated equipment 'smart' has made me happy.

Working well for 3 months now, IR control is a nice bonus!
Usually I don't write reviews, but I've been impressed by the switchbot hub (and bots) and the company support, so I'm writing this here. Been using it for 3 months now with 2 switchbots and so far it's worked flawlessly. Integration with Alexa is very good, you can even map custom appliances to Alexa, and the IR control with learning option is a great plus (and works as a harmony or a broadlink so it can save you some money), meaning the sky is the limit.The switchbot company also seems to be updating the mobile apps on a timely fashion, adding new options to it, keeping the Alexa API working at all times (no issues so far in 3 months), and also was very responsive when I had a question, meaning they care about their product.I recommend this hub for anyone needing IR control and/or with switchbots, especially if working with Alexa/Google. I was a bit afraid of not liking the "cloud" design, but now I really think it's cute (plus it comes with a magnet so you can hook it up to whatever). Oh yeah you can also change the color of the hub to anything RGB, which is also pretty cute if you like those things .. !

Switchbot Hub Plus Works Better Than I Expected
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My expectations were set pretty low because there was limited feedback on this product when I purchased. I first purchased the Switchbot which only works over Bluetooth (unless you purchase this Switchbot Hub Plus which then allows you to control your Switchbot from anywhere you have internet access) to verify that it would attach securely to the device that I wanted it to turn on/off. Once I verified that the Switchbot functioned with the Switchbot App over Bluetooth I then ordered this Switchbot Hub Plus.Set-up of the Switchbot Hub Plus was easy and pretty seemless. Once it was online I it was able to locate my Switchbot and give me the ability to control it through the Switchbot App on my smartphone from wherever I had internet access. It was also quite easy to configure the Switchbot to be activated by voice using my Amazon Alexa Dot.2/22/19 UPDATE: I increased rating to a full 5 stars after I revisited having the Switchbot Hub Plus learn a few IR remote controlled device that were in range of it. I must not have followed directions the first time I tried it (I really didn’t purchase the Hub for the IR function originally) but after giving it a bit more attention I successfully learned basic IR remote control functions for a nearby TV, Digital TV Tuner, DVD Player and Stereo Receiver.The Switchbot Hub and Switchbot Switch continue to work together flawlessly.

Worked exactly
I have an Electric Blanket that we use to cover half of my Bird’s cage in the night. However the Electric blanket doesn’t turn on by just turning on the outlet. Button needs to be pushed. I was looking for something through which I can push the button if the temperature in the cage falls below 70. I searched and found this that can be used to press buttons remotely and even through the Internet. I really didn’t think something like this existed but did a quick Google search and landed on this item and it worked exactly as I wanted.

Works fine.
I previously bought 'SwitchBot's Switch' which is more than 15 years boiler switch.It can connect with google mini and can control via google voice.But when I am outside I can't switch on/off my boiler.So I bouth 'SwithcBot Hub' and I can control anywhere via my phone application.And I want to sure wheter the boiler's toggle switch status right on status,so I bouth webcam.Now all are working precisional for nature with evergy saving but not for my wallet.Viva forever xxx boiler!

It will control an IR capable appliance.
This thing is awesome. Because of IR, the device needs to be within the line of sight of an appliance in order to work.

日本の家電にアンマッチのスマートリモコン
botを持っていたので購入しましたが日本メーカーのプリセットが少なすぎて、ほとんど学習させるはめに。学習させると学習モードのボタン数などがデフォルトで決まっているので、TVもチャンネルが選べなかったりエアコンも風向きなどのモード運転が変更できません。学習モードの基本はon/offでしかなく、即座に売却へ向かいました。一方で海外製品のプリセットは非常に多いので海外の家電が多い人やon／offの機能だけでで十分な人には向いているかも？追記日本製品のプリセットのなさですが2019に購入したSonyのBD／DVDプレイヤーもプリセット対応していません。10年前の古いSonyのDVDも対応していません。不審に思ってプリセットされている型番をSonyで調べたら海外向けの商品ばかり。日本で販売されているシリーズのプリセットはゼロ。Sony全滅のため使えなさを痛感。DAIKINのエアコンなど海外向けの製品も同じ型番のメーカーはプリセットがあります。しかし家電製品でグローバル展開しているのはDAIKINと三菱のエアコンぐらい。TVはSonyがグローバル展開していても型番が違う。パナやシャープは海外撤退。Toshibaに至っては中国メーカーに製造部門を売却して日本向け製品を生産させているので論外。プロジェクターなどでもエプソンは海外でのシェアは皆無(米国規格に準拠した米国と台湾メーカーが占拠)。他の家電もSonyを始め日本の大手メーカーは日本向けと異なる商品を展開。驚いたのは5年ほど前からスマート電球としてSonyがUSで販売している。Sonyさん、日本でも販売してよ〜兎に角、日本向け商品のプリセットがこれほど少ない、というより皆無なのでスマートリモコンではなくフールリモコンというのが正解。兎に角、日本メーカーの家電製品のプリセットがない。プリセットの対象企業数は軽く100社以上出てくるので、いかに海外重視なのか。ただ、海外メーカーのスマートリモコンなので仕方ありません。追記追って購入したR社はＮ社と同じで日本のスマートリモコンなのでプリセットも日本向け家電製品が中心でした。家の家電製品は、殆どプリセットで対応していました。購入してみてスマートリモコンはプリセット数だけでなく、どの国向け製品なのかが重要なのかが解りました。botは便利だけど、この製品は全く使えない。

7年前の家電は全てダメ
他のを購入予定でしたがビジュアルとサイズ感でスイッチボットに決めました。大きすぎないし、虹色の雲はやっぱり可愛いです。うちの家電は殆どが7年前に購入したものですがメジャーなメーカーばかりなのにどれも対応してなくて設定にかなり時間がかかりました。対応機種が少な過ぎるのと、設定するにもスイッチボットが全く反応しなかったりで、接続し直したりetcスイッチボット側もアプリ側もリセットしまくってもダメで「これでダメなら返品」と思った頃にやっと登録できました。できたといっても対応機種ではないので全部が反応するわけではなく妥協です。反応する機能はリモコン側が反応しなくなりました。謎なのは設置が背面のマグネットなこと。少なくともうちではマグネットでつけれるのは冷蔵庫くらいだし、背面に電源コードを挿してるぶん壁と距離ができるから冷蔵庫にもつかない。それでも「アレクサ！おやすみ」や「アレクサ！いってきます」でテレビも照明も消せたりするのはやっぱり便利です。でも何故か「アレクサ！おはよう」で照明がつかない。もう少し対応機種が増えれば星増やします。

Non sbaglia un colpo
Avevo letto di tutto sulla questione SwitchBot e invece si sta dimostrando davvero impeccabile.Installazione semplicissima, configurato in 10 minuti e FINALMENTE posso usare interruttori fisici senza nessun problema.Ovviamente i singoli switchbot vanno installati con un minimo di intelligenza, non hanno tantissimo margine di manovra sulla profondità di pressione ma una volta sistemati non sbagliano un colpo.

Necesario para conectar a internet los Switchbot de apretar el botón.
Me encantó la estética, el funcionamiento y el precio.Espero que dure mucho tiempo el producto.Le pediría al fabricante que saque mas accesorios. Sensores de Radon, CO, CO2, Humo, Ventanas y puertas, cámara. etc.También le pediría que añadiese en el eje "Y" de la gráfica de temperatura el valor.Tambien le pediría que permitiese el volcado de datos a un archivo para su tratamiento posterior en un pc.El hub tiene hasta una funcion de iluminación que es muy practica.

Necesario para controlar uno o varios switchbots desde fuera de casa
Lo compré para controlar desde fuera de casa un switchbot.Para quien tenga dudas, el switchbot solo funciona por bluetooth, por lo que si lo quieres controlar desde fuera necesitas este hub.Estoy muy contento, he fijado el swichbot para que pulse el botón del mando a distancia que abre una cancela y ahora puedo abrirla y cerrarla desde cualquier parte.
