Great for astronomy / night vision / animal friendly - True red light
The media could not be loaded. I've used this RED light emitting LED bulb to replace the normal bulb in my garage door opener. [I have other lights in the garage I use for day to day usage, so it is not the only light in my garage.]I use this when taking my telescopes out of the garage and setting up just outside the garage door and it does a great job of throwing just enough light to be able to see what I'm doing, but not completely ruining my night vision.The red light is very red, perfect to preserve night vision.I like the fact that it is only 3W (25W equivalent) as I don't want much light, just enough to see what I'm doing and not run into anything.

Perfect comfort light
I’ve always been a fan of warmer, amber bulbs that are easy on the eyes, but even bulbs labeled as “warm” can be too bright for me. I bought a lantern-style lamp recently and wanting something very warm, so this orange bulb is perfect. It’s not too bright but still gives off enough light. Really love the cozy glow it gives!

Cute Christmas Edition
I used these for Christmas and had the outside light poles with red and green. They looked so cute. I highly recommend doing this for the holidays. It's a cheap and easy way to dress up your house.

Help for better sleep for people with low vision
A good choice for when you need to leave a light on on the bedroom for safety and convenience so you can check on your person and they can still see enough if awakened on their own. The color blue is hardest for him to see. Somehow this is the best illumination we have found. We have tried all kinds of bulbs, but they have managed to hurt his eyes. Nicest side affect was better rest and longer sleep.

Good lights
I needed some bright yellow safe lights for my darkroom. I use photographic material sensitive to ultraviolet light. I tested the bulbs for ultraviolet light radiation with a UV meter and they emitted almost no UV radiation. So they were the perfect choice for my darkroom.

Bright orange light
I bought this for the pictured potbelly stove. I was worried it would be so bright that you couldn't make out the orange but it is a vibrant, saturated orange colour. Time will tell if I get a decent life out of it. Running several hours now and bulb is cool to the touch. Very pleased.
