Review: Heavy duty worth the money - I learned my lesson! I replaced my pool suction side valves with the cheaper aftermarket brands. When the pool technician came out to help me trouble shoot leakage and poor priming performance he found all three valves were sucking air through the valve stem. All 3 valves had warped stems. I replaced with this model from pentair and the problem is gone. Review: Excellent Serivcable Valve - I have a paving stone patio around my pool, with sand between the stones. The sand finds its way into the pool, which then gets sucked into the filter. It wedged beween the ball and valve housing of my original (seled/unservicable) drain valves making it impossible to turn, and ultimately it failed when I tried to force it back and forth.
