Excellent binocular. Great price.
As an amateur astronomer I have long been aware of Celestron's history of (mostly) excellent optical equipment. As a result, when my wife and I first began birding about 20 years ago we purchased two pairs of Celestron 7 X 50 binoculars for about $50 each. That was not a totally "cheap" bino at that time. We were very happy with them and they lasted about 5 or 6 years. Various mechanical problems, mostly arising after we dropped them or handled them carelessly, finally made them difficult to use. The optical quality was always excellent. Since then we have gone through various other binoculars by many manufacturers at prices from $100 to $300. Because we do not always take the best care of our binos, we have never purchased any high end $2500 Leicas or Swarovskis.I recently saw the need for a 10 power binocular so my aging eyes could get up a little closer to the birds. Trusting to Celestron's reputation, as well as many good experiences with their products, (and the recent rebate), I decided on these reasonably priced Celestron Trailseekers. I have already had them out a number of times and am quite happy with their performance. The field of view for a 10X binocular is excellent. So is the close focus which will allow you to focus on a bird less than about 10 feet away--as close as most birds will allow. The focuser works smoothly, the weight is about average and the general feel of the binoculars in my hand is comfortable. As for the optical quality, these binoculars produce a bright, sharp image that shows no aberrations except possibly toward the very edge of the field--and not much even there. While they won't produce an image as nice as a $2500 pair of binos, these cost less than 1/10 as much. Unless you are used to the ultra expensive binoculars, these are an excellent compromise between quality and price. Actually, it's not really a compromise since Celestron is not compromising on the quality. They are giving you a beautifully made product with exceptional optical quality that would have cost much more, if this quality was even available, 30 years ago. Optical glass and coatings have advanced a lot in the past 20 to 30 years and we have been able to benefit with better quality and lower prices. I believe these are a good choice for anyone seeking a good performing binocular at a very reasonable price.

Excellent Binoculars for the price. Low abberations. Excellent edge to edge sharpness.
These are extremely well built. The entire construction has a premium feel to it. They are compact and not heavy. The pouch, the harness, the straps, eye cups, tethered objective covers all seem to be well made. But in every binocular what matters is the optics. These were not listed as ED so I was little skeptical how bad the chromatic aberrations would be. I own several telescopes (some of them are Celestron) and 4 pairs of binoculars. Celestron is know worldwide for their quality products at an affordable price.I tested them during the day time and was very pleased. 6.5 degrees FOV at 10X is awesome. 7 ft close focus distance is another plus. I decided to try them on almost full moon and Aldebaran that was close by. The night sky exposes many flaws that are not visible in day time. I was surprised. There was virtually no chromatic aberrations unless you looked really hard for it. Despite full brightness of the moon I did not notice any ghosting which was quite apparent in other binoculars I compared them with. Generous FOV meant it was easy to frame objects even at 10X magnification. Almost 95% of the FOV was sharp. Excellent edge to edge sharpness.I am very pleased with these and would recommend them to anybody looking for premium affordable binoculars.

Good birding bins
These binoculars have been great. I do lot of bird watching and the amount of clarity these bins offer is truly amazing. Very robustly built. I have had it in slight drizzle and lot of dust. There has been no issues on the performance of these bins. Colors are well rendered with no obvious purple fringing but it's there if you go look for it. For the price these have been great. The case and the harness have been great too.

Outstanding Optics and Great Customer Service
Six and a half years ago I purchased this binocular. It served me well until about a year ago when the focus knob started loosening. About 3 months ago it fell off completely. I looked for a replacement knob, but Celestron does not sell individual parts to their binoculars online. I then called Celestron and reached a real person with the thought that maybe they could repair the binoculars or dig up a part. The lady I was speaking to asked me a couple of questions and then asked me to ship the binoculars to Celestron. She made the statement that it sounded like a warranty situation. So, I did and approximately two weeks later I received a brand new pair of binoculars. This is outstanding warranty service! Now a couple of comments on the new binoculars. The old ones were very good, but not great. The new binoculars are outstanding! Celestron’s team has improved both the optics and the anti-reflection coatings in the last 6 years. As received the alignment was perfect. Daytime images are very sharp. Contrast is excellent and internal reflections are almost non-existent. This is a significant improvement.Night sky objects (moon, Jupiter) show essentially no color.Between the optical quality and the outstanding customer support these binoculars are a great product and Celestron is a great company to work with.

Well Made
What I like the most about these binoculars is everything. Super clear and easy to focus, nice compact size that feel solid in your hands. Unlike a very old pair that were my Dads from 60 years ago these large eye cups work great for a person like me with glasses. Bottom line I can’t find anything to complain about I even like the case they come in.

Missing pieces!!!
I just received my purchase of Celestron Trailseeker 10x42. Extremely disappointed of missing accessories!!! The Instructions, Lens cloth and Harness Strap. At a price point of over $200, I honestly expect all stated included accessories to be in the box.
