Great classic coat, but no more zippered inside pocket and many fewer fine details
Have had this jacket for about three years and have loved it. It can be dressed up a little with career pants and a good bag. I can not stand coats, or anything, with collars around my face and with the hoodie and zipper this is quite flattering if you are the type who lives in v-neck tops. I had this in size 3X and it always was generously sized except a bit snug around the bottom hem. I have lost 45 pounds and was so happy to find this in smaller sizes. I was guessing I would need an XL until I read the reviews about the jacket running small. Then I couldn't decide between the 1X and the 2X. A few reviewers said there was a big difference between the 1X and the 2X and that the arms of this jacket run small. Thank you Amazon reviewers, you were right! I just tried on the 2X and even with the 3X being way too large and the 45 pound weight loss, I needed the 2X in the upper arms and hips. The rest of the jacket is roomy. This is a nicely styled jacket with the zipper and the velcro closure over the zipper for extra protection against rain, and the attached hoodie was the deal-maker. However, many of the quality details of the older version of this coat have been eliminated. The style is the same on the outside where it counts, but in a side by side comparison the fine details I loved are gone. This is more a reflection on quality control than whether you should still buy this coat. Yes! You should still buy it, just see if any of these smaller details will bother you: where the older jacket was detailed with a snap closure at the top and the bottom and three easy velcro closures, the newer jacket has no snaps, but 5 velcro closure points on the flap over the zipper. The jackets though purchased 3years apart are mostly the same with other small differences. Sadly, the roomy zippered security inside pocket is gone. I miss it because that was a safe place to keep items if you were out for a walk and didn't want to carry your purse. The entire lining is not as well made as before: the older jacket's mesh lining is much finer and softer, the inside of the hood had the same lining, and at the outer pocket level, for the bottom 8 inches or so, the mesh ended and the interior of the coat had the same, more durable fabric as outside. That supported what was carried in the 2 outer pockets and gave the coat more substance. Now the hood has no mesh lining. The body of the newer coat has a more open, coarser mesh from the shoulders to the bottom of the coat. My coat is black and the mesh lining is black over a white, or gray, lining that is labelled "OMNI-TECH". Both exterior "hand pockets" are still zippered and lined with mesh, but once again, you are putting your items into double mesh pockets without the fabric reinforcement the old pockets had. The old hoodie had an odd flap with velcro at the back--?? must have served some purpose--but I do not know what. The coat does have an inner hanging loop that is nice in restaurants and places to hang it on a hook to dry. Booth coats have sleeves with a little elastic at the cuffs and a great velcro storm strip at the cuffs to pull the coat very tight around your wrists. The Columbia embroidery and the Omnitech stamp on the left cuff are identical. The hood drawstrings are similar but the old hood had a metal grommet at the opening and a longer, more secure tunnel that the cord pulled through at the end, as well as other minor features being finer on the previous hoodie. The drawstring around the hips is also inferior. All told, you have to wear the jacket for your size. I am grateful they are still making the coat. You would never see much difference in the outer appearance, but it is sad the way producers eliminate the quality details and think the consumer won't notice.

PERFECT!! EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE!!
You can stop shopping for a rain jacket now! I've bought two of these jackets, one for myself and one for my sister. I've also bought the identical male version ("watertight II") for my boyfriend who is a greenhouse worker. These are the best rain jackets I've ever worn. No amount of constant rain will seep through this jacket. It is legit water repellent and absorbs not a single drop of water, unlike most other rain jackets that eventually start absorbing water in torrential downpours. Always look for the "omnitech" logo on the arm, that's how you know it's a fantastic rain jacket. Not only is this thing super durable, it's also super light weight and packs into one of the pockets for tiny storage. I love how light it is and wear it nearly every day. I'm 5' 7" about 140 pounds and the medium fits great with plenty of room for extra layers underneath. I like to layer it in the fall and winter and the material really keeps the warmth inside, but it's not too hot for spring either! I've had mine for over two years and it is still practically brand new after probably 4-day-a-week use. It's gotten really muddy but the mud slides right off in the wash or with a paper towel. Buy this jacket!! You will not regret it!!

Awesome rain jacket
I browsed through the reviews to decide what size jacket to get, then I found a reviewer with the same height and similar weight like me posted a photo of themselves in a medium. So I got myself a medium in black. I'm 5'2", 102lbs, and 34B. I bought a medium to go along with the pair of Colombia's Storm Surge rain pants (x-small) for when the rain comes in Southern California. I enjoy how roomy and light it is, and I can wear several layers underneath when the weather demands it. When it rains, the water rolls straight off of it and keeps me dry. The sleeves have adjustable Velcro cuffs, and it goes pass just the tip of my fingers. The mesh-lined jacket itself almost covers my entire butt, but my rain pants can take care of the rest. The storm hood and waist can be easily adjusted with the elastic cords found there. I often wear a cap whenever I go out, and the hood covers it except for the very edge of the bill/visor, so I often find it damp/wet, but not a big deal. The main front zipper has a flap that can be secured with Velcro to keep the water out. The two pockets has flaps and zippers as well, and the insides are mesh-lined and are big enough to fit an entire 16.9 fl oz water bottle, or my iPhone 6 Plus with its Otter Box Defender case on with some room to spare. I highly recommend it for any kind of rain except for really heavy rain like a monsoon. Pics included, and sorry for the blurred out face and bathroom...

One star knocked off for the sleeves width
I got a size up for what I normally wear because I wanted extra room in the belly area as well as the arm area. I can NEVER understand why, when you make things for us plus size people, you do NOT plus size the arms? But, that being said, I love the quality. I love how you can shove this into a bag or backpack for a sudden rain storm. I love the attached hood with little ties to make the hood tighter around the head. I love the zippered pockets, it’s really nice that it’s lined and that you can push up the sleeves. When you push up the sleeves, it doesn’t feel as tight on my upper arms. I intend to wear this in Florida weather, so, having the sleeves pushed up or down doesn’t matter much. I know that Columbia has great quality and that it’s made well and waterproof. I will be testing this for the Florida weather in September. In the meantime, I can test it for south east Pennsylvania weather. The last two days have been like Florida here. I might edit this review with the results at a later date.

Lightweight & truly waterproof jacket, runs SLIGHTLY small.
First a note about fit; I debated for a long time between the S and the M. I read all the reviews, and it seemed a mixed bag with what people were saying as sizing goes. I am 5'4", 120lbs with a small upper body. I went with the S and I am glad I did. It fits perfectly. Not too big, not too small. I will say tho - I am petite especially in my upper body, so if you have especially broad shoulders, a large chest, or more muscular arms, you would want a M. The length is great for me; lands just below my hips. I believe there's a longer length version if you want one that covers the entire backside. Sleeve length is OK, I have long arms and the sleeves don't cover my hands (which I prefer) but they probably would on a normal arm person. It's pouring rain here so I got to test the jacket out immediately. It kept me very dry, the hood is fantastic and you can cinch it up to where only your nose and eyes are showing and it forms a little cap over your forehead so it's very well-constructed. This is a lightweight jacket which is fine for me in Texas, but if I was in cooler temps I would definitely need it to be a shell with warmer layers underneath. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase! If anything needs to be added I'll update this review as I'm about to take this jacket on a camping trip and really test it out.

Awesome, Portable Jacket
I am so pleasantly surprised by this jacket. I have been searching, to no avail, for a rain jacket that I like. This jacket is light with an inner mesh lining. The mesh lining keeps you comfortable by stopping the jacket from sticking to you like so many other rain jackets, while also keeping it much cooler than other similar jackets I have tried. So many other jackets feel so 'stuffy' and hot to me, but something about this jacket makes it so I keep comfortable. There is velcro around the wrists to tighten them, and drawstrings on the hood and waist which help keep me dry! The pockets are huge and I haven't had any issue with anything getting wet in them so far. I LOVE that it packs into the hand pocket. It makes it super portable and easy to toss in my pack for day hikes, or keep in my car for emergencies. Given the other reviews, I expected it to run much smaller than it did. For me, it ran almost true to size so I didn't have an issue with sizing. The only thing I would add to make this jacket better are ventilation zippers in the arm pits. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with my purchase!

Lightweight, waterproof and well made
Very happy with this rain jacket, the material is not thick but the wind resistance is excellent, the jacket keeps me surprisingly warm. I really like the way it fits, the length hits me hip level. I also like the color, I bought the blue not too bright but not a dark navy either. The jacket is very well made and a good price too. Machine washable and comes out of the dryer with no wrinkles!

Perfect
This is my second time purchasing this raincoat. My first one lasted about a year and a half, until the zipper stopped working. I’m not sure why, they are YKK zippers and those are known for their quality. Regardless, the rest of the jacket made it worth repurchasing. It never lost its rain proofing, it has kept me bone dry on plenty of fishing trips in nasty weather. I love the way it fits, it’s not baggy but I can easily fit a sweater under. I ordered a medium, which was admittedly a size too small when I weighed 180lbs. Now I am 160lbs, a size 8-10 dress, medium shirt, and it fits perfectly. I do have a smaller chest and there’s not much extra room. You may need to size up if you have a very large bust. The jacket rolls up nice and small, perfect for travel. Lastly, it doesn’t feel like a rain coat, its surprisingly breathable and comfortable to wear in warm weather. Overall, excellent jacket, the matching pants and fantastic as well.

Nice quality rain jacket that fits!
Nice quality, comfortable, lightweight rain jacket that fits a larger woman with boobs! XXL is a comfortable fit on me with room for a couple of thin layers underneath, and I'm a UK 20 on top with broad shoulders and big boobs. Nice big zip pockets (fits iPhone 12 Pro Max) adjustable cuffs, cinchable hood. Highly recommended.

Love this jacket
Great waterproof jacket. I am short and the medium fits nicely through the chest, waist and hips. I had this jacket before and I wore it out, so happy to find it again!
