OMIGOSH! Beautiful pictures, excellent How-to's. Easy to follow in instruction. Very inspiring to want to do the needle lace samplers right away and learn all the stitches. Great book and a fantastic overview of needlemade laces. It has just enough info to get started.

Excellent instructions on how to make the various needlelaces, which are presented in historical order of their being created. Small designs are taken from historic, traditional pieces and the reader is then shown how to make them. The designs are really beautiful and the whole book is inspiring.

Fascinating book, very informative. A must for anyone interested in needle lace and its construction. Not a beginner's DIY book, but anyone expert in lace and embroidery would find much practical advice in its pages.
