It eats high temp glue sticks for lunch and keeps eating. Hearts up in about 60 seconds so I’m not waiting on it like my previous one. Love this glue gun. Been doing this for 26 years and it is equivalent to the high end (very expensive) glue guns they sell at supply shop. The stand isn’t really operable on carpet but I just lay it on a scrap piece of carpet and wrap it up with that piece after use so I can put it in my bag hot. Almost forgot I repaired the handle on my microwave using this gun and surebonder high temp sticks two years ago. Saved me from buying a new one that goes above stove.
