RC Products Kid's Ski Harness

A really well priced ski harness and decent quality. I bought it for my nephews as we used a similar one for our own kids. It would be better if it had a pouch in which to store the leash at the lift.

My 3-year-old snowboard adrenaline junky had left me on the lift for the last time! I have always kept his board strapped on to make exiting the chair lift easier on the both of us. Now he can't get off the chair and down the slope without me! The harness keeps him from getting off the trail into the deep powder as well. I love that it still gives him the freedom to feel like he's boarding on his own while keeping him securely "tied off."

PROS: the 16-foot line is long enough to keep a safe distance without getting your skis all tangled; I was even able to put it around my waist so that we were both "attached" to the line. Also, the material seems sturdy enough. The mesh bag that it comes in is convenient for storage and for tossing it into a backpack. You can steer the child by pulling on the line, like reins.CONS: I was unclear from the packaging exactly how to attach the harness to the child. The front attachment also didn't seem secure -- it was too easy to slide the nylon line through the belt loops. It was awkward to use the harness, and in the end it was easier (and less scary for the child) to ski without it.

I felt good having this harness, worked out well. Tucked into his hood on his snowsuit on the magic carpet ride. I've been considering using this harness this summer while my 3 year old is riding his bike with training wheels, he's too fast, takes off on me, and has limited use of listening skills. but I haven't actually busted it out yet.

Work like it is supposed to. But some have handle to help in picking kid up and putting onto chair. Also have backpack to store leashes...like that one better but more $.

The harness was easily to put together and use. Two handle harness allowed me to "steer" us down the slope. Perfect for very young skiers that aren't quite ready (me or her) to take to the slopes on their own. Had such confidence with the harness that we went up the gondola and took a run down a green trail with several sharp cut-back turns, no problems.

Have not tested it yet myself. but my friends tell me that it works perfectly! will have a chance to test it in Italy next week.

Product needs to have a way of packing the straps better. Long straps get in the way at times.
