Needed a replacement for my E46 M3 as it worn off, and decided to bite the bullet and avoid OEM stock shifter and get something different.Has a nicer feel than stock E46 M3 shifter, but you will have to get a new shifter boot, which in my point of view is an upgrade.Does not include a that red light unlike the stock shifter on the M3, which is the only drawback to some, but again, i like it.Shifter does feel a little shorter than the stock, but i don't notice it to be any differet in shifting.

Amazing quality shift knob, BMW factory ZHP product. I recently bought E46 M3 with the same knob but was very loose & was frequently coming off the actual shifter. I replaced with this & was able to tell right away the knob that was on the car was a knockoff product. New knob has a nice weight to it, clean seams, "metal" ring had significantly nicer finish & the leather (you smell it b4 you even open the box) felt high quality.Installed with a couple of hammerfist & it's on their nice & tight. Feels great in my hands (medium size gloves).

Fits great. A really easy modification for my 2007 Z4. This shifter is heavier and shorter than the stock unit. It makes for a nice "short shifter" feel. Quality is excellent. Install is super easy, just pull the old one off (Pull straight up) and push on the new one.

Looks really nice, comes without a boot. I used a grey alcantara one that looks good with it. Only thing is the stock leather knob/boot combo was lighted and this one is not. I dont really need it to be lit, bit it would have looked better if it was.

Love this shift knob. A little bit pricey, but holding my stock plastic bmw knob, and this leather, weighted one side by side, its clear that the diffrence in quality is huge. Shorter shift length, better look, better feel. Recommend getting one.

I just received this beautiful piece and DIY with my original LED light to avoid additional $100 they are selling in the market. And it turned out AMAZING. Not just looks good also feels alot sportier and shifting improved significantly. Great product. Thank you

Was excited to get. This is a little heavier than original knob I had on ‘04 330CI convertible but love it. Slips right on with no issues.

Best upgrade ever. Easy install, great weight, great feel, faster shift, easier shift. Looks great, clearly high quality BMW part. Seriously noticeable shifting difference. 30 second install. With my ECU mod and hp increases, this helps make it smoother and more useable.

Ein absolut anderes Gefühl aber erstaunlich gut. Er wiegt wirklich einiges und ist absolut fantastischer Qualität. War anfangs skeptisch aber es ist mittlerweile das beste was ich am Auto geändert habe. Erste Sahne 👍

Ich habe den 6-Gang M Schaltknauf für meinen Z4 Roadster (E85 2,5i Bj.2006 Facelift) gekauft. Passt ohne Probleme auf die Schaltstange. Sieht jetzt wieder richtig schick aus (der alte war total abgegriffen). Und die Montage ist auch super einfach. Somit bin ich voll und ganz zufrieden. Top.

Quality and fitment surpassed my expectations. Shipping was suprisingly fast considering it came from Lithuania and I'm in Canada. Shift knob has good weight to it as well.
