For total beginners
I've been playing for about two years, and I was looking for a book that would help me piece together some of the fragmented knowledge I have. This book is not it. It covers basic principles, which is great, but I just wish it was marketed as such. If you've never played or are just starting, this is a good place to begin. If you have some experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Late Delivery
A great book but a very late delivery. Problem: May have been sort on help etc., because this is unusual!

Excellent foundation of music theory and clearly presented
I've been playing sax and guitar for 40 years so a lot in this book was already familiar to me. BUT....I was surprised how much additional information was included along with the music theory fundamentals. It's written like the author's having a conversation in real time and addressing questions that anyone would have during a presentation. Really well done. I got a lot out of it. As good or better than any I've read.

The Guitarist' Music Theory Book
This is a very good book. The CD is good also. I do not know alot of Theory. I have been learning on my own, and getting a little better at it. Remember one thing. Music Theory can cover volumes of books. It can be studied at school also. There is alot of information here to learn. For me I will need to go through this book alot to get it down. Its never too late to learn new things. Maybe take a few guitar courses at a Community College and learn to read music notation and use this book with it will help also. Good Value.

Great Straightforward Understandable Approach
Excellent straightforward approach to music theory for the learning guitar player. I love the Kindle Edition as I can add notes and Flashcards to quiz myself for improved memorization which is ultimately what it boils down to if you want to learn enough Theory to make oneself a better musician.

The Guitarist's Music Theory Book- Good basic stuff
I'm using this sort of as a text for my intermediate guitar students. It's not so complex that younger students cant understand. The CD helps them to hear the written explanations.I'd recommend it for those that want a basic understanding, but it's not going to help someone looking for in depth levels you may find in college course.

Decent
It's a good book but limited in some ways. It's worth it if you want an introduction to key music terminology with good explanations but a few areas could do with clear explanations or more detail. Useful for a beginner to the guitar or if you don't know much theory but not useful for a veteran player.

Looks like a good book in my limited knowledge of guitar and music.
Arrived on time. Looks like a good book, hopefully i can understand all the terminology. Its my first music book so looking forward to learning. Nice book to hold loved the presentation. Probably no good for an experienced guitarist. Its probably very basic which suits me.

Superb
Finally a great book about music theory especially designed for guitarist. This book gives you a basic overall theory about the main topics in music theory, so not only one specific topic. It describes the theory in a very understanding way with lots of examples. There is also a website with audio examples which supports the theory.I have different books for helping me to play the guitar and for understanding the theory behind it, but this book is outstanding.

Excellent book beginner through to intermediated guitar player
This is a very good book for beginner through to intermediate guitar players. It covers all the essential theory in simple and brief terms. It is written in a very understandable form and covers just the right level of theory musicians at all but the most advanced level. It is also a very good source book. This book will help you to understand relevant music theory from a guitarist's perspective. Written by guitarists for guitarists it does what is written on the can.
