Good for kids
My 2 year old loves these! I originally got the idea to purchase them because he likes some similar eggs that they use during our local story time, but I preferred the wood. They have ended up used both as a shaker but also in his play kitchen. They were a cute addition to his Easter basket.

Smooth surface makes it fun for toddlers!
Bought these for a 1 year old who liked the shaking noise and almost instantly tried to put in his/her mouth! Smooth surface with no visible break for the cover. Nice volume to the shaking noise, not too loud or soft.

Fits in Mouth
These eggs were beautiful. Thought it'd be good for my 2 yr old and 7 month. My 7 month got it pretty far into her mouth, think we will have to wait a bit to let her play with it. Pretty sure its ages 3+ anyways.

VERY QUIET CAN BARELY HEAR IT.
These are perfect gift for kids and beginners that don't want to be heard loudly. About 3 feet away and you can barely hear it. Its ok? I thought I would have a deeper sound but it works for when I want just practice or follow along would use in an event. Sound more like rain sound effects than maracas. Almost can't hear it with music playing.

Sounds great.
Very pretty and look as shown. Wish the sound was a little louder like plastic eggs however the seller warned this. Nice addition to the collection.

Smooth and safe for babies
I love these, will be ordering more in the future. The wood is smooth and just the right size for my petite one year old to hold.

Baby’s First Easter gift!
I got these as an Easter gift for my son who was 9 months old, he loves shaking them. I think they will be enjoyed and treasured for a long time, and they aren’t offensively noisy.

Very Quiet - not good for ensembles or bands.
Good for kids or solo quiet practice. They are so quiet that you can't hear it as soon as another instrument is playing along. For my purposes, this is 1 star, however, the wooden finish looks nice and it would be great for a child who is interested in percussion.
