I bought this to use with an old Windows XP laptop, which didn't have an optical drive. I wanted to be able to play and record CDs and DVDs. This item has worked perfectly so far: it's just 'plug-and-play', and has done everything I've wanted of it, with no difficulty at all.

Not sure yet as it is a Christmas present. Will update then.

A very disappointing product that simply stopped working after a few months. I would not recommend this product at all.

Great little device. Burned CDs with no problems. I notice some reviewers had problems with playing the burned CDs in their car device but I haven't found this problem. Cable very short which makes it a bit awkward to manipulate everything on the desk. Otherwise, brilliant.

Lightweight usb cd drive, hooks easily to Mac. Good value.

I never really trust when technology says that you just need to plug in and play. This was really easy I put it into my USB port and it worked! Just right for what I needed it for reading CD's in order for me to assess screening tools. I have not used it for DVD's so I can't comment on that facility.

Once up and running its fine, only used once so cannot really comment too much.
