The Sol Percussion Bongo Cajon, handmade in Peru, gives you a woody, mellow sound similar to any other cajon, but you play it like a pair of bongos. One side is high-pitched, and the other is low, with individual sound chambers underneath each to help isolate the two pitches. The body of this instrument is made of Mohena, while the playing surface is constructed out of multi-ply Lupuna and Spanish Cedar.A free gig bag is included so you can protect and haul around your bongo cajon with ease.

Great looking, but.....
This is a beautiful bongo cajon. If you intend to use a stand, then you may find it fine. As a female, I did not want to hold this between my legs, and even when I did, the angle of the slides kept guiding the BC to slide down your legs further. You have to try and get a good grip or perhaps put a black felt pad (or the like) and adhere it on either side so it is less likely to slide. I am not a big fan of the sound either. I think there is a big difference in the sound when it comes to the wood used to manufacuture the BC. The Meinl uses rubber wood in its BC and it needs a harder smack on the flat surface, but you also get nice tones hitting the side. With this guy, it is taller than other BC's and if you place between your legs, hitting the side is not an option. I am sorry to say that I sent it back.

Disappointing
Disappointing quality control. Mine arrived with cracks in the bottom. Nice instrument otherwise.
