Fits Great - Well Made
I couldn't find these anywhere locally but thankfully Amazon had them and for only $12 bucks. Well made, fits my rubbermaid Brute bin perfectly and stays on. Highly recommend ... would buy it again.

Total Quality, Worth Every Dime‼️
I make orchid and plant mixes and need to store outside. Live in San Francisco and there is a lot of moisture to leave the mixes in bags. Brought two 30 gallon Rubber Maid containers and realized I needed the tops to seal the containers from the weather. These containers are a long term investment. They will weather the heat, cold and rain. These mixes are expensive to make and totally satisfied with the tops.

Very disappointed that an inferior material was used for the lid compared to the trash can
I fully expected the lid would be made of the same kind of awesome plastic that was used to make the BRUTE trash can. But no. It is inferior material and in my opinion should not be called a "Brute lid" but rather "a lid that fits onto the Brute," because it is not a Brute-like lid. Even the color is different. And with the money spent for both the Brute trashcan plus the lid I expected a nice VACUUM seal, not this namby-pamby one. For a good quality material that matches thge actual Brute trashcan AND a good vacuum seal I would have been willing to pay double for the lid. As it is, this was my only choice and I might have been just as happy not to have purchased the lid at all (though I will keep it). Update: I have found a use for the lid after all, although it seals well (almost too well) on either side where the handle is to open or unseal the lid. That can be REALLY hard to get off. The second time I went to open it I could not get it off, but after 4-5 tries I thought to use the bucket opener I have for my 5-gal food buckets (which are sealed using a heavy mallet). The bucket opener worked GREAT. (Only problem regarding sealing is that so much of the circumference is loose enough to allow little weevils and such to crawl in.) But I found a good use for it, at least for now: putting sealed packages that are unopened in it.
