They are easy to install (Double Stick Tape). Also, they have a magnetic back so when the batteries need to be replaced you just pull them off the base, put in new batteries, and return it to the magnetic double-stick tape still in place. I have purchased at least fifty of them, and they are everywhere: in my 25 pantry shelves; in all 15 of my kitchen cabinets; and other places in the kitchen and pantries. Sometimes I must insert my hand near the unit to cause it to illuminate. It's like magic! Disadvantage: They do eat AAA batteries. So be prepared with a significant stock of AAA batteries. But the batteries are easy to \replace. Just pull the unit off of its magnetic base, and the batteries are easily replaced. So far, I love them! Only had them a few months, but I like how the come on as I walk past my cabinets.

These lights are so helpful when walking into a dark room, closet, cupboard etc. Easy to install!

I ordered 8 lights. Seven of them worked ok. I put new Energizer batteries in each of them. At first five off then were glitchy (stayed on long periods of time -even overnight or took multiple waves of the hand to turn on, etc.) but they worked and after a few days they seemed to start working as expected. The one never worked and I emailed the company. There response included a replacement and spares. So 5 for customer service! I use them to light cabinets and the closet on my RV fifth wheel. I will probably purchase more. My only caution is the quality. A 1:10 (or 10%) failure rate is not great for an expensive light based on established technology. Also I'm concerned the glitchy issues I noted could manifest in a short life for the light. I'll post again if that happens.

I ordered these to put inside a deep pantry cabinet so we could see what was inside. They had a nice solid feel and were just the right size. They could not be any easier to install! I peeled the back off of the tape and stuck the whole thing just inside of the door, light attaches magnetically to tape for easy battery change. Tested them out - PERFECT! They would come on when I opened the door and turn off automatically around 60 seconds after I closed the door. I tested them two or three times and they worked just as expected. I did not tell my husband about them and waited for his surprise and amazement the first time he opened the cabinet. Imagine MY surprise and amazement when NOTHING HAPPENED. I went and removed one to test. NOTHING. batteries out then in again. It flashed as I closed the battery cover then NOTHING. being inside a closed cabinet they should not be activating at all unless the door is opened. Just walking through the kitchen is not enough to trigger. Given that info the batteries should last a lifetime. I tested the ones I took from the first failure and popped them into a battery tester and they are solidly in the green, not 100% but still only halfway to the 'it is getting kind of weak' line. for the first half hour I used them they were the perfect solution. Too bad it did not last longer. I will think about returning them but not sure if it is worth the hassle. 9-7-19 revision. After more time it appears that they DO work, they just don't like my kitchen light. When the ceiling light is off they work just as expected but if the kitchen light is on at any time of day the lights refuse to come on when the cabinet is opened. The light is attached to the 'ceiling' of the cabinet in the shadow of the inner door frame (maybe 2" high). The light from the ceiling fixture never touches the inside cabinet fixture. Apparently it thinks there is enough light even though inside the cabinet is still very shadowy. Upgrading from 1 star (because it did not appear to work) to 3 stars (because they work sometimes).

I'd prefer to review the PeakPlus sensor lights after a full battery cycle. But, with warranty registration, the company requests a review. So, here goes after a few days experience with them. Three are installed in 3 closets, each with 2 sliding doors on 60 inch opening. Downward facing each light is mounted on a flat frame board midway in the door opening. A fourth light is in a small closet with a 24inch door, again downward facing on flat interior trim. Before mounting I used rubbing alcohol to clean the area on which the adhesive-backed magnetic plate would be installed. The plates have 3-M adhesive, a good sign of quality. I waited overnight for the plate mountings to "set" before placing the fixtures on the strips. With a nicely recessed back, the light fixtures fit flush to the mounting surface. They provide quite adequate light for the 5+ft wide closets and for the smaller yard-wide closet. We aren't expecting reading light brightness, rather brightness that allows us to see easily the closet contents. For that purpose they are excellent. There is also a good angle of light spread to see upper and lower shelves. The sensor responds immediately when the door opens, and shuts the lights off after 25 or so seconds of inactivity whether or not the door is closed. So, far I'm highly pleased with the product. They do what I expect them to do, appear to be well desigbed and well made.

These are not very good. They go through batteries and some even just stay on for no apparent reason. I have another brand with that are much better.
