Japanese Kitchen Tool Collection (Charcoal Cutting Board)

I wanted a black cutting board to leave on the counter. This is ok, but it has a few issues. First it is rather small, second although it's charcoal/black, after washing it in the dishwasher, it's faded, now it's a lighter shade. Don't know if it will quit fading or not. It isn't really flexible, but you could slightly curl it to remove food after it's been cut, but not enough to really help. Knives cut into this easily, with every cut you can feel the knife sink into the board. After a couple uses, you will have noticeable cut marks. It is handy to leave on top of my regular black cutting board and it's easily moved around the kitchen. You can't put anything hot on it, but I guess that's to be expected. It's just ok.
