St Michel Madeleine's Traditional French Sponge Cakes, 8.8 Ounce

Christmas present for my granddaughter. She loves these things!

I've tried different brands of madeleines while in France and this brand individually wrapped madeleines was the best. So happy that I could find a seller in the US that sells them. They were delicious.

My St. Michel Madeleleins were at the bottom of the delivery package and were totally SMASHED.

They were tasty, but they were still past their due date at the time they arrived.

We ordered this 8.8 ounce bag of Madeleines not realizing that the bag only contains a quantity of 10 sponge cakes. But they are good size and were fresh tasting. Each is individually wrapped and they are of good quality. Would definitely purchase them again.

Molto buoni, non contengono lattosio e quindi sono adatti a chi è intollerante al lattosio, sono saporiti e morbidosi, consigliati!

With much anticipation of the original French Madeleines, as we openeded the package, a strong pungent whiff hit us. The outer courrier packing was great, safeguarding the delicate cakes but the packet had this funny smell. We took each of the individually wrapped Madeleine from the bigger packet and aerated them in a tray hoping to salvange our little cakes in case the odour was from outer packaging. But to our dismay, the next day, biting into each of the Madeleines, we realized it was probably in the cake themselves. Maybe some ingredient but definitely unappetizing.
