Works great for cutting 1 1/8 marble. Only had to make one hole and we used water to cool. I think it will work again

I have retiled two showers in my house. I purchased this and it worked great for the test (1) and the 'real' (2) cut for shower #1. Fast forward a year and some, i brought it back out. I was almost done cutting the 'rea'l (3) hole for my second shower re-do, and I lost control of the drill, so it skittered across the face of the tile making a small scratch. That was on me. But it completely failed to cut the final (4) time. So, it is only good for 3 cuts. Choose them carefully, because they're kinda pricey. To finish the final cut, I'm purchasing a decently reviewed $10 tile hole saw. Fingers crossed!

I don't often run to review an item, but this hole saw worked so much better than I expected that I wanted to recommend it. Mine was 6" which is really large for drilling into hard porcelain but it worked about as well as a regular hole saw into wood. I did have to have a helper spray water at it constantly -- it would probably fail otherwise. I wasn't even really expecting this to work at all because I was asking a lot of it, but I'm happy it did.

This diamond hole saw is exactly what I expected—nothing too cheap, but nothing to get excited about either. I bought it for a specific job, and it performed perfectly. That said, I have my doubts about how well it would hold up under heavy or repeated use. If you’re a DIYer who doesn’t need contractor-grade tools, this will absolutely get the job done.
