The texture is objectionable, with each piece being closer to some sort of gummy with a firm bite than anything that could ever come from a lemon. Second, it lacks almost any noticeable lemon flavor or scent. If I were given a piece blindfolded, I doubt I'd guess lemon flavor, much less candied lemon peel. Candied peels are often used in cakes and such to flavor them, but this doesn't have enough flavor by itself. It also has this very odd chemical-tasting flavor and aftertaste, and it's not a good one. Overall, just do not buy this.
