I wish to emphasis that although we had to take advantage of the lifetime warranty, this in no way is a poor reflection of, the product, or GoPets excellent service. We use the Slicker Brush daily on both of the boys (pictured), and have been doing so since we purchased the brush/comb in October 2017. Dylan (with the blue scarf) is large and has a very thick close coat, whereas his twin brother Archie (with the red scarf) has a much thinner and more open coat. Dylan sheds a lot of fur, and Archie hardly any, so I find it useful to groom Dylan first and leave his fur in the brush to help with grooming Archie. The unique feature of the retractible bristles in this brush makes cleaning the brush simple and effective. The handle of the brush is most comfortable and great for me with carpal tunnel problems and hardly any grip in either hand. So when the plastic dividers between the bristles of the brush started to break away I felt I should take GoPets up on the lifetime guarantee. They could not have been more helpful and attentive, especially as we live in England, and it seems our government is determined that we should not purchase from the USA (or anywhere else I suspect). Sadly because of this GoPets have quite understandibly decided to give up selling to the UK. They very kindly offered us a refund of the current purchase price, however because we like the Slicker Brush, and it suits our dogs and our situation we were hoping for a replacement. GoPets came up with the great idea of purchasing the replacement from Amazon.com, and they offered to refund the Amazon purchase price of the brush, and all we had to pay was the carriage and UK government tax (yuk). Because of the excellence of the Slicker Brush we were quite agreeable to this, and after all it's not GoPets fault we live in the UK. We now have a new Slicker Brush courtesy of Amazon, and have received a refund of the purchase price of it from GoPets, via Amazon. So thank you very much GoPets and Amazon, who together have looked after us so well. If you are looking for an excellent grooming brush for your dog or cat look no further - you will not be disappointed with GoPets Slicker Brush! Oh yes! I'm sure I don't have to tell you that Amazon's excellent service is second to non - and we use Amazon.co.uk a LOT!

Does a great job of my dogs.

I bought this brush for our dog and 2 cats. It works fine; the hair sticks to the brush when the bristles are retracted, so I have to take them off with my hand rather than just let the glob of hair drop into the garbage can. Not a big deal. The bristles are really stiff and wirery; I keep thinking that it's hurting the animals as they seem bothered when I'm brushing them. The dog is short haired and doesn't like to be brushed with anything, and one of the cats has thick fur but is a real squirrel and has never really liked brushing either, so I think it's just my animals. One of my cats doesn't seem to mind at all; actually he seems to enjoy it. I rated it a 4 star only because I paid like $15 for it and after I had ordered it, I saw a very similar brush in Target for around $7...so I'm thinking that this is overpriced. It may be better quality; I didn't really check out the one at Target very closely. I do not paying more for something that I could have gotten cheaper. The handle is comfortable though, and I like the color.

This is the best brush I've ever used. I can't believe it was so cheap. They could definitely charge a little more if they marketed it right. It has a lifetime guarantee, so over the life of the brush, the extra cost goes towards a replacement. Even so, this was cheaper than many of the models in the store that don't have any sort of guarantee. The best part about this brush...so many best parts, it's hard to pick one! First, there's the wonderful grip: it's big and soft so that you won't get carpal tunnel from brushing your big, fuzzy dog for hours. It's extremely ergonomic and comfortable. The grip combined with the way that the brush is shaped contributes to the ease of brushing. The brush pad (the piece that the bristles are mounted to) is curved just enough to make the bristles catch extra hair and makes for a perfect brush stroke every time, from any angle you are holding the brush. The self-cleaning aspect is wonderful because it keeps the bristles safe from damage. Most self-cleaning brushes only utilize the retractible bristles to clean and then the bristles are stored outside of the moveable piece. On this brush, the bristles come out fro brushing and then retract for cleaning and storage. So convenient and a great design to keep the bristles nice for longer. This is simply the best brush I've ever used on my dog (she's a malamute german shepard mix...so LOTS of hair!). I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

This brush is so convenient to clean! It makes my cats coat nice and soft and they love the feeling of being brushed with it. I think it gently stimulates their skin as it removes the excess hair so it doesn’t end up in their stomachs from grooming themselves. Just don’t brush your pet hard cause the bristles are stimulating.

While this collects cat hair very well, our cat doesn’t like it. Seems the tip is too sharp for her and hurts on her skin.

Premium price, low quality brush. Doesn’t retract unless tapped. Poor bristles and just a generally cheap feel. Better available for half the price

this brush is brilliant.... I have a small dog who sheds all year round. I have used other different products but this one is the best .it may be a bit more expensive but worth it, it is easy & comfortable to use. it only takes me 10 mins to brush my dog now where it used to take me an hour. I have less hair falling off my dog & around my home. it does exactly what it says it does. my dog is happy so I'm happy.

Works great at collecting fur from both my long-haired cat and my short-haired dog. Doesn't get the mats out of my cat, but I attribute that more to her long, fine fur than I do the brush (my previous, similar brush didn't do a thing for mats, either; scissors are the only way to remove them). The fur-eject feature is nice, though not really necessary; it's pretty easy to pull hair off a brush. But overall the brush works well, the handle is squishy-comfy, and I'd definitely recommend this product if you need a brush for your furry friend.
