Insta360 GO Ultra Utility Frame

I bought this frame primarily to mount a light to improve low light performance. I got the idea from Insta360's own website, but they don't sell the light accessory they show in the frame product images. I did a Google image search which showed they were using a GoPro light accessory and assumed they were cross compatible. I'd also hoped the frame bulk might make the Go Ultra more comfortable to hold when using it as a camera rather than an action cam (I'm not serious enough about videography / photography to warrant 2 devices yet). The cage fits securely and is good quality but there's no way for the light to securely click into the frame and it easily slides out. When I use the light, it sits slightly lower than the frame base meaning I can't set the camera down on the base - if you're using these accessories together you must have the camera mounted to the gimble etc. The placement of the light accessory means I can't hold the cage with the light, again you need to have the camera mounted on the gimble so that your hand doesn't cover the light. While I'm aware this feedback is for a specific usage, the frame doesn't really work for what I needed and the placement of the light seems poorly thought out. I felt a bit misled, with it being an action cam, that the frame that holds a light (or other accessory) but not securely. I still love the camera I just don't see myself using the frame.

pratique, le cadre permet de protéger la base et pour les plus avancé, le porte accessoire. De mon point de vue, je trouve le plastique mal fini, et surtout, les points d'encrages pour fixer le cadre à un support (support à libération rapide par exemple...) sont très capricieux (surtout en vue verticale), il faut vraiment insister pour que cela soit correctement fixé.

Great frame and fits the Go Ultra perfectly. I am really enjoying the added protection.

Der Insta360 Utility Frame ist eine sinnvolle Ergänzung für die Insta360 GO Ultra. Er sorgt sofort für ein deutlich besseres Gefühl bei der Nutzung, da die Kamera sicherer in der Hand liegt und insgesamt geschützter wirkt. Gerade bei so einer kleinen Kamera erhöht der Frame die Sicherheit spürbar – sowohl im Handling als auch im täglichen Einsatz.

Adjunto vídeos. No me gusta cuando abro un producto y tengo la sensación de que puede haber sido usado por las señales del envoltorio interno. El soporte cumple su función, pero si lo hubiera sabido antes no lo habría comprado. Lo único que me interesa es el anclaje en horizontal y vertical, pero no encaja tan bien como en el de la cámara, y aunque lleva imán que te da un plus de seguridad veo que baila. No lo compres si buscas protección, aunque está bien construido y encaja bien la cámara no la protege por completo. Los botones responden bien y se ve de buen material. Los cordones de seguridad tienen hueco perfecto. Con la zapata fría se pierde el acceso al botón quick. Se puede sacar bien la cámara del pod. Otro problema que veo es que sin el soporte, el pod lo puedes dejar de forma horizontal sobre una superficie y está estable, sin embargo, con este soporte no puedes, se mueve mucho debido a que lleva una goma anti vibraciones, por lo tanto es un producto que más que llevar puesto siempre, vas a estar poniendo y quitando en función del uso, con lo que no sé si los muelles que liberan la apertura del soporte cogerán holgura pronto.

Simple. Effective. Worth it.
