First (The Crescent Chronicles)

Alyssa Rose Ivy's Crescent Chronicles soon became one of my favorite New Adult series, for it's actually a Paranormal New Adult! So very few of those these days. First is Levi's point of view story, from the beginning. Basically book 1, shortened, in Levi's eyes. And while I love this series, I have to say that Levi didn't really win me over in the beginning.Granted I liked him, but we learn that he wants Allie just as another conquest for him. He isn't keen on settling down or finding his true mate. He wants to have fun. Like any other college boy, for him girls and sex are fun and he wants that kind of fun with Allie. But Allie, isn't too fond of him to begin with. And so, Levi finds himself working extra hard to win her affections, and soon his feelings become genuine.Really, really liked this one! It's pretty much Levi's whole point of view for the novel up to the point he tells Allie what he is. Which I think is a perfect place to end it. Like with any male point of view story, I was completely wowed by it all. I was leery of Levi in the beginning of Flight, and the beginning of First proved I was right to be so, but as with Flight, I grew to love Levi by the end.First is definitely worth a read if you've read Flight! In fact, I highly recommend it! Haven't read Flight? Well, good news! You can still read this one. Granted, you'll know all about Levi and what he is, which was a big reveal to Flight, but what's the harm in knowing?Overall Rating 5/5 stars

I have always wondered what it was like when cocky Levi's charming ways went unnoticed, well somewhat unnoticed, by Allie we they first met. It had to have been a burn to his high flying ego. And in some ways it was. Poor guy. Never been told no before until Allie. Now he is constantly getting told it from every angle. But he doesn't let that two letter word deter him. In fact, it only makes him try harder.Great little novella. Only problem for me was that it ended. I needed to see his side of things as things progressed. But I still loved what Ivy gave us and I really cannot complain. It was a fabulous little read and we get Levi. So yeah, things are good and I will take what I can get.Definitely something you don't want to read first in the series if you have yet to read any of the books. But if you have at least read FLIGHT, then I say get at it. This is just a fun addition to a stellar series. One of my most favorite series ever actually. 5 Feathery Stars!

First, which is the first couple of chapters from Flight, gives an extrememly witty and entertaining light into what is going on in Levi's thick skull. I completely fell in love with his character and the secondary characters, Jared, Owen, and Hailey, even more. This addition to the series sheds more light on not only his connection with Allie but also his relationship with his family members. It also sheds light into what he's actually dealing with, in Flight from Allies point of view, we see none of Levi's early on struggles with being heir to the thrown. You also see what's going on with Jared, Owen, and Hailey which was totally interesting. I think I like Owen a little more now, and hope he gets a series or a book.If your a fan of Alyssa Rose Ivy I promise you will love this, she doesnt disappoint.

I get that this is supposed to be Levi's point of view but it doesn't add anything new that we didn't already know or could guess at from Flight. As a matter of fact, Flight told us more since First was really short. It didn't even discuss what was going on in his head when he pulled the stunt with the ring. I was disappointed because there are so many things that could have been explored in some debt in this book. Levi's relationship with his father and grandparents. What he would really like to do with his life if he had a choice... None of this is even touched.I love Alyssa Rose Ivy's books but this one just wasn't up the calliper her books usually deliver.

Loved this series. Very interesting paranormal activity. A story line concept that blew my mind. Highly recommend and WAX full of twist and turns I could never have imagined. Couldn't put this series down. Intrigue mystery suspense drama passion love romance what more can you ask for in a great paranormal series. Looking forward to more.

This story has an amazing storyline that completely draws you into. You cannot help falling in love with the characters and feeling all of their emotions as if they were you. This story sucks you in and I couldn't put it down until the end. I cannot wait for the next book!

Absolutely loved this look into Levi's head. So amazing and really let you see where he was coming from. This was playful and just fabulous and reminded me all over again why I adore this series.

I love reading in the guys point of view! This novella is perfect you get a glimpse into the mind of Levi and see how his feelings for Allie grow into something he was not expecting. I definitely recommend reading the whole series first because there is some information you wouldn't get without reading the last book. Great little piece of Levi.See more reviews here[...]

I loved the crescent chronicles trilogy, in fact all three books are five stars so I couldn't wait to read Levi's POV. I loved to read both the main characters POV' as you are able to get into both their heads and feel their emotions. This was a great start except it's literally so short you barely feel any kind of emotion or what Levi actually feels. In fact all this book involves is Levi and Allie meeting and he persuades her to go on a date where he reveals who he is but as he does the book ends. Not only that Levi 's POV ends after 85% of the very short book. The rest is from the first book of the trilogy which most people have already read and also an extract from Soar. Pathetic and certainly not worth the money.

I love how you get Levi's point of view in this, you get right to the heart of why he acts like he does and feels how he feels in this. It was one thing understanding Allie's pov, but it really was another getting to know Levi's side of how he reacted to the things happening in the world he knew existed and grew up in.

This was amazing! I loved how the story was told from Levi 's point of view, it made it very entertaining and interesting! I just wish that it was longer. Alyssa, please write more from Levi 's point of view, I would definitely buy more books like this one! Alyssa is my favourite author!

Loved it I hope there will be more books from levi's point of view. I love theses books l. Hoping levi and allie in the new series of empire chronicles maybe with a little heir on the way that would be great
