This is one of those things that you need to have in your first aid and hope not to use! I had a minor boo boo last week and gained 5 minor burns, 4 on one hand - one of which was not pretty and removed quite a few layers of skin and one burn on the other. I used these to keep the main burn cooled and covered and it was refreshingly cool. I had to change the plaster quite often when I was working as I was literally sweating them off from wearing gloves. But otherwise it stayed on well when I wasn’t working. After 3 days of using them I’m now using a different type of plaster that stays on under my gloves and is waterproof. Would I use again? I would but I’d appreciate smaller sizes to be available especially for areas like hands.

I burnt my leg with steam and these plasters made such a difference to my healing process. Was told not to cover it but having to wear trousers was impossible. These not only supplied protection but definitely made healing faster!

I’ve used these for a couple of burns now and they’re great. The one pictured is just a mild one from the oven, but my last was more severe and this prevented scarring. The lifting in the corner on the image was from me picking at it, but I’ve showered with it on and it’s remained glued down. I wasted a couple of plasters to begin with by applying them on damp skin or with any sort of cream around the burn (e.g. savlon). Make sure any antiseptic creams are on the area will be covered by the blue gel patch only, if you get any around it the adhesive won’t work and the plaster will lift immediately. These are 100% worth having on hand at home for minor burns.

These are pricey, but worth it because they have stopped my scalded finger from getting infected. The blister on my scald popped, so I needed something to cover it with, and regular plasters just weren't doing the job. These are much cleaner, and much more comfortable. Unfortunately, you only get two size options, and the smallest size doesn't fit amazingly well around my finger. They're not easy to apply, either, because the adhesive is very strong and it will curl in and stick to itself if you aren't careful. I applied the first one myself and did a terrible job, so it came off in the shower later in the evening. I asked my partner to help with the second one and it stayed secure for much longer. I like that I can still see the wound through the plaster, and I can see that it's healing over after only a day.
