MolluDab 5% Hydroxide Topical Applicator Treatment 2ml Molluscum Contagiosum

This really does work to get rid of molluscum contagiosum spots. My daughter (9) had these on her arm for about 18 months. They began to get caught and bleed and one or two began to spread to her torso and behind her knee. GP would not treat or advise, just to wait for them to run their course. But when they started to be a problem and spread I purchased this product. They were all gone within 2 weeks, and healed within 4-6 weeks. We began treatment at start of summer holidays and they have all disappeared and healed by the end. The bottle is very small and only a tiny amount of product supplied in it, the bottle is not full so do not be surprised by that. Use the applicator to apply a tiny, tiny amount to the top of each intact molluscum. The ‘size of a grain of sand’ is exactly right. I used my phone torch to check it had been applied as hard to tell in some light, as long as they looked slightly wet this was enough. This stuff is potent so avoid getting it on surrounding skin. Once the top of the molluscum is broken stop applying to that one but continue with the rest. Max for any one spot is 14days. We did not need that long. We forgot to apply twice a day on several days, so once a day still gave great results but be consistent. They crack, weep and then scab over. They have healed brilliantly. I was a little concerned about marks/ hyperpigmentation given my daughter’s skin tone but this has been ok. I would definitely use again if more appeared and would recommend to others. As long as careful with application of this potent but effective treatment it works really well. It did not hurt unless the molluscum was open, then it would sting for a second or two but this is when you should stop anyway .

I wanted to write this review because, when I was deciding whether to buy this product for my 4-year-old daughter, other reviews really helped me. My daughter had several spots on her chin and neck for over a year. We kept hoping they would clear on their own, but they didn’t. Eventually, they began to bother her so much that she scratched them until they bled, which was upsetting for her and distressing for us. That’s when we decided to try this product. The treatment process is tough. Application stings, and applying it twice a day for two weeks feels like it drags on forever. It’s not easy for a child—or a parent—to go through. But at the end of the cycle, the spots ruptured just as expected, and healing finally began. In our case, it took about another 4 weeks for her skin to fully repair. After this is was clear the process had worked and removed the majority of the spots. We’ve since done a second round because a few small spots remained or new ones appeared, but compared to the 20 or so she had before, the improvement is huge. One note: I found the dispensing dropper unhelpful, so I removed it and used a clean cotton bud to apply the liquid directly to the affected areas instead. This process isn’t for the faint-hearted—it can be difficult and emotional—but it does work. If you can stick with it, the results are worth it. I would thoroughly recommend this product.

Does the job when used with pimple patches

Our child complained at discomfort when we applied this. Seems like there are lots of positive reviews but we weren't able to use it. Quite expensive for a small amount.

This is honestly one of the best products I've ever bought. My daughter picked up molluscum from somewhere. They were everywhere on her body and seemed to be spreading. It was just hideous. I took her to the doctors who confirmed it was molluscum (after we first thought it was warts and treated her unsuccessfully for them) but the doctor said they don't prescribe for molluscum and said it would go on its own. I was at my wits end. I came onto Amazon and spotted this treatment. I had zero hope that it would work. I dabbed a little bit on each spot, each night. Within 2 weeks they had dried up and would fall off, never to be seen again. After 3 to 4 weeks she was entirely free of the awful molluscum spots. This product is simply AMAZING! I would recommend to anyone. It is expensive but is honestly worth every penny to see a smile back on my daughter's face.

The plastic wand isn't any good. Don't get any liquid out. Expensive and doesn't work

Thank you, thank you, thank YOU! After a year and a half of rapidly spreading MC on my child, we felt hopeless that it would never go away. By this point, the spots were becoming inflamed, itchy - causing multiple skin infections which had to be treated by antibiotics with our GP. We made one final call to the GP and luckily for us, a dermatologist happened to be in the clinic that day. The GP consulted this skin specialist who advised that, although it was not available on the NHS, Molludab was worth a try. Within one week, the treatment started to work as we noticed the spots burst and begin to disappear. Sometimes, the treatment stung if the ointment got on the skin surrounding the spot, but it was just that - a slight momentary sting and not as painful as some have made out here. After a month and a half of applying Molludab twice (once over all spots in the morning and the same before bed), we stopped the treatment to let the popped spots heal. It is now three months from this time and today, we 'mark' the moment when finally all spots have completely gone. Thank you once again as you have saved my child from continuing discomfort and pain. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
