Swanson Saw Palmetto 540mg, 250 Capsules

Supplemental/alternative medicine isn't everyone's cup of tea. But if you want some of this particular medicine, here's a good price.

My reasons for trying Saw Palmetto were twofold, one as a possible preventative for future Prostate issues which thankfully I’ve avoided so far, plus I was curious about any benefits for male pattern hair loss, which I haven’t managed to avoid! As far as Prostate goes mine appears to be fine, thanks for asking, though I’m not immediately aware of any obvious benefits from taking these Swanson Saw Palmetto 540mg capsules.As far as hair loss goes, I don’t see any obvious benefit there either although I haven’t been taking these long enough to really judge, hair growth and follicle cycles take a while to show. However I do get the feeling that my actual hair loss has slowed a bit, but I can’t really attribute that to these capsules, it tends to come in waves.Either way I’m happy to stick with them because they’re easy enough to take and the medium-large capsules get gulped down with a drink of water and I get no after-effects like an upset stomach or fragrant burps. I’m currently taking two per day, one morning and one evening, so this jar of 250 will last me about 4 months which isn’t a bad deal. I’ve been happy with the quality of other Swanson supplements I’ve tried so have no reason to doubt this one. Worth a try.

I have been using Saw Palmetto for a number of years on and off. I am young enough whereby my prostrate should still be in good shape. I use this wonder herb for stress, libido and all-round energy. I find taking one tablet in the morning creates a feeling of wellness and energy. It certainly has a positive libido effect, which in-itself creates less stress and tiredness. Whilst I am not aware that this herb is a classified adaptogen, it certainly helps with my stress levels. This Swanson product offers good-value, given I only need one tablet and there are 250 in a bottle. I am therefore very happy to recommend this product and will continue to use it once the test bottle runs out.

This tub contains 250 capsules and each capsule contains 540mg of saw palmetto. The recommended dose is 2-3 capsules per day so the tub would last either 125 days/83 days depending on dosage. It is a good economical tub to buy. The capsules have no taste or smell and are easy to swallow.Saw palmetto is good for the prostate especially enlarged prostate.

My Husband has been using Saw Palmetto for quite a long time. He finds it helps his prostate to be far less inflamed..not having to get up in the night as often and more comfortable. I am a nutritionist and trying out many of Swanson's range. so far he is liking this one lots and finding the results very good. This is good value. a large amount for reasonable price and in a correct strength to help most men. I will post more when he has take it longer but it seem excellent so far.

When you unscrew the cap, there's a foil seal that need to be removed.Inside, you get 250 x 540mg capsules, that, if you follow the directions, will last 2-3 months. Depending on whether you take 2 or 3 a day. The capsules are larger than normal paracetamol/Ibuprofen ones but are smooth and easy to swallow.I’m not a medical expert by any means, but I would prefer to take a larger strength capsule only once a day, you can buy them on Amazon with 3000mg vs these at 540mg.In terms of value, you need to consider the amount of Saw Palmetto in each capsule and quantity of capsules. Swanson is a popular supplement brand. Thought I would give these a go to help with hairloss now that Im approaching that age!I feel more comfortable taking this brand and also the dosage is not as high as others out there. First want to see how it impacts my hormones. Hopefully it will settle it if anything!Will update in a few months time.
