My old bell push had worn out so I thought I would upgrade to a "Video Doorbell".This video doorbell seems well constructed. I installed it in my covered porch (so its performance in rain could not be assessed). Inside the video doorbell case, most of the volume is filled by two large rechargeable batteries.I wired this new video doorbell into my existing bell wiring (so it could trickle charge), replacing the old bell push button. Downloaded the app to my phone and used the app to get it onto my WiFi. This worked well.The first deficiency I noted was that my existing (loud) doorbell no longer rang when the button on the video door bell was pushed. It would have been useful for this to have continued to function given the next problem....The big problem was the time delay between the button being pressed on the video doorbell and my phone receiving the notification and making the video connection. This nearly always took more than one minute. This was tried over several days at different times of the day. I always had to wait more than one minute to receive the notification.This is no good as the many delivery drivers who call to us typically wait no more than about 10-20 seconds before heading back to their van and driving off. By the time I was notified of the caller, it was too late. They were long gone!I returned the video doorbell for a refund and reinstalled a new simple bell push button.

Bit tempremental as when it works it ok but for no apparent reason decides to stop working and I have had to reinstall a few times. Not convinced that the 8 second record time is not enough and then it does nothing for 15 seconds so you miss quite the majority if time that people are near the door. When viewing night videos it takes a while to display so in actual view time you only see about 4 seconds. The wide view could be better. My bell is on the wall at the side of the door so when someone gets up to the door they are not shown as the angle is too acute so you cannot see the face. Wish I paid more for a better known make.

Have had this installed for over 9 months now, and I can safely say that it is NOT waterproof. Water can get between the device and the mounting plate, and when it does, it can enter the battery compartment causing components to rust.In recent weeks, the doorbell has also started activating for no reason – often in the middle of the night! When you have dogs that can recognise the bell sound (no option to change it, by the way), and go mental, that isn't much fun.I'm anticipating that I will need to replace it completely in the next three months. Not good enough.

I have mixed views on this product. For the price this is an excellent product. It does everything you expect from a motion sensor video door bell. The camera is clear, the night vision is excellent. The app is workable (I would like the ability to change my ring tone on my phone as it often gets confusing Android device ) My only criticism and often disappointing is the very delayed response from door bell press to altering to your device. Often too late and the person has gone. This is true for both iphone and Android. We have mixed devices in our house and both have the same issue. It's such a same if this issue was resolved I would say that it would definitely c be a strong competitor to the leading brand.

Had this for 2weeks now, easy to install and I am impressed with the picture quality crisp and clear the delay to it getteting to your phone can be hit or miss as due to the delay but that said I have had more hits than misses. The battery life for me has been good not charged it yet and I have half a battery symbol left the SD card is a nice little touch as I cant always get to my phone when the doorbell is triggered it records it all be it for 8seconds and it saves to cloud. As for weather proof it's has gone through the snow and rain and storm Eric and still working, The only thing that let's it Down is there no volume for the device outside bell witch is rather loud all in all good little product so far

This is a solid doorbell that is going to be very useful to me now and down the line. The app is very simple to set up with the device; and I like that you can make it so when the doorbell is pressed - it rings your phone; and if accepted you can see who's there and respond if needs be.The camera quality is good; easily identifiable of who the people are of course and it's so wide angle; you could think you're definitely out of the image... but you'd probably still actually end up being in it anyway. You can see the majority of your front yard essentially.I can't comment on the battery life but I believe it states a year; and assuming these are rechargable; i've got a recharger that should work so i've got nothing to worry about. Besides if you're handy with DIY you can hook it up to the mains anyway.Finally; night vision is very quick to activate and illuminates a lot; of course the closer you are to the camera the brighter the image will become - but it certainly helps if you need to try and make out some suspicious activity during the night.

bought this as we are both disabled so cant always get to door quick enough for some deliveries like amazon delivery men!!found it a little hard to set up but then i am not that tecki, its not easy to find how to update/adjust settings but now working with the help of my grandson it is fine and does what it is supposed to do although a slight time lag in opening video & speechbut not caused any problems so far, i am impressed with the night vision, a good thing is once set up on one device it is so easy to add other devices by scanning code in, we have set on phones & tablets as on tablets it gives us larger screen for home use (saves getting glasses on) at present dont know how long battries last as only been using for 4 days not a high traffic user & already one third used Would like to be able to get an angle bracket like one done for the Ring one i have seen but looked at measurements and dont think it would fit so Grandson is printing one on his 3D printer for me
