Equinoxe Infinity

There is only one Jean-Michel Jarre with his unique musical and visual talents. I have been a big fan since the early 1980s, and have really enjoyed 'Equinoxe Infinity', which is wonderfully done with a mixture of earth sounds and electronc vibes which compliments the original very well. This box set is a lovely collectible, and when you consider you get 2 lps, 2 cds, the downloads and the poster artworks, I personally think it is worth the money. Yet it would have been nice to have had a nice booklet in there with some of the back history behind the original 'Equinoxe' leading to the new release of 'Equinoxe Infinity'.Delivery was prompt and the product was packaged very well, so full marks and thanks to Amazon, and full marks and thanks to Jean-Michel Jarre for the stunning visuals and amazing music!

I am a huge Jarre fan, so my comments may be a little biased, whoever it took a little time to "get use" to the Album. At first it appeared to have a Vangelis vibe, but understanding what the Album is about makes sense, focusing on a utopian or dystopian future. With this in mind the Vangelis blade runner elements visualise this in detail. A lot of layers in many of the tracks which can appear to be over musically produced, which when broken down have many characteristics by them selves which uniformy do unite each track. Love the Album.

A great package deluxe edition 2 LPS and 2 CDS can't be bad a kind of Sequel to Jarres original masterpiece from 1978, 40 years on and we have this it was never going to be as good as the original album but Jarre still delights. I would recommend this box set as you get value for money or just purchase either the CD or Vinyl version and see for yourself.

Jean michel Jarre is back, this is a masterpiece, the box set is awesome, very well presented. A must for any serious fan.

I have been a Jarre fan for over 30 years and it's always great to see new works. This box set contains both the original and new albums on both LP vinyl and CD plus you also get a code to download a digital copy. The box also includes several posters with nice artwork letdown by the fold marks unfortunately.My biggest gripe however is with the digital download, I was expecting this to be 24 bit WAV files like Jarre's previous Planet Jarre box set however I was most disappointed as they are in fact MP3 files encoded at CBR 320 kbps 44.1 Khz 2 Channel. Why they chose to do this when Planet Jarre allowed you to download them in 24 bit wav files and also had a few 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus surround sound versions I don't know.The album is fantastic and Jarre fans will not be disappointed.Is it worth the money..... In my personal opinion, NO however as a Jarre fan I had to have it for my collection.JohnEdit: The MP3 files aren't even tagged correctly. No genre, date, album artist or cover art.

Zoolook was the last of the Good Jarre output, since then it's been very disappointing and with the follow ups for Oxygene... easy money for a very loyal tasteless fan base wowed by lightshows. Time has passed by this One time alleged Pioneer of electronic music, who has used n ditched everyone who progressed his career.

Was die Musik anbelangt kann ich mich einigen Vor-Rezensenten nicht anschließen. Ich finde sie sehr gelungen und finde Equinoxe Infinity ist ein würdiger Nachfolger des original-Albums. Aber über Geschmack soll man ja nicht streiten.Die Ausstattung der Box hat mich voll überzeugt. Alles ist sehr hochwertig, Vinylscheiben und CDs sind fehlerfrei und besonders gut finde ich, dass man mit dem Downloadcode beide Alben als unkomprimierte WAV-Files bekommt.
