More importantly, the backing on the Flat Edge frame is entirely different and a much better design; it has three open sides with a hinge on one side, and opens easily after sliding the little flat toggles, very easy to insert and center your photo, which stays nicely in place. (Whereas the Thin Edge frame has a single velvet covered cardboard piece backing that "slides" into the back of the frame's two edges on tracks, it's a very tight fit and the photo can get pushed and rumpled, which is what happened when I tried to use it.)
