Don't trust the mounting hardware provided.
This is a really great item. My wife appreciates it very much. My only gripe is the mounting hardware. They provide you with hollow wall screws and that is all well and fine but I suggest you find a better way to mount the wall part. This rail will pull out of the wall if you put to much pressure on it. We were remodeling our bathroom at the time and replacing the paneling that was there with drywall. I figured out where the mounts were going to be in the wall and put 2 x 4's between the studs so there would be something to secure it. I think they would be better to have two uprights vs. having it mounting into the wall. My opinion for what it is worth!

Good design
Need to install into wood backing or augmented studs. Not sturdy if screwed into only wall board. Need to drill holes through tile floor for base. Use all screws. Measure and position very carefully. Odd tool included with minimal instructions. Not for inexperienced, but if installed correctly, very good and nice looking.

Great design, sturdy.
I got the 24" grab bar with support leg. Very nice design. The 24" was perfect as I installed it to be used between our toilet and the shower (small bathroom). It is long enough for my wife to use comfortably getting off the toilet but also short enough to not interfere with getting in the shower. This comes with plastic drywall anchors and screws. If just using to steady yourself it should be OK to secure to wall & floor with these. But if using to be able to actually put your full weight on I would strongly recommend using larger screws and anchoring directly to a wall stud which is what I did. I also drilled through the tile floor and used larger screws to anchor through the 2"x 6" subfloor.Instalation was pretty straight forward and easy. Onlyvtook about 20 minutes start to finish including clean up. The support leg can be mounted anywhere along the length of the grab bar making it suitable if need clearance on the floor or have something in the way. I would recommend putting the leg as far out as possible to give it maximum stability.I am a fairly big guy 6' and close to 300lb. I gave it a few practice runs and noticed very little flex if any at all. I felt very comfortable and confident of its stability while using so I have no reserves about my wife who is much smaller use it regularly.Would definately recommend this product.

It works!
This item was installed to help my dad. I love that it has the leg to the floor because my dad is over 200 lbs. I added a 1 x 3 against the wall to make sure the drywall didn’t give the garb bar more flex. It has been a tremendous success. By the way I am a 65 year old woman and I installed it for my 92 year old dad by myself. If you can use a drill you can install this.

Very nice product.
I bought this for my Dad and installed it directly into the wall studs. Even after a good solid install and a bottom bracket installed there is just a little bit of play. Not quite as solid as I feel like it should be.

Peace of mind.
This has helped my husband more than I had hoped for. It is very sturdy and supports his weight with no problem.

Flexes too much when installed
This is not a stable product in my opinion. The mount to the wall is not welded therefore when it’s attached to the wall it flexes. My father has Parkinson’s, and even when secured to the floor it doesn’t feel stable. Even with a weight rating, it doesn’t give us as family, or him security that it won’t fail.
