No risk. **Q: Can i cut off the tab at the end? the tab sticks out of my ear and bothers me when i sleeo, i even tried to position it downward toward my ear lobe.** A: The elongated tab is there to help you pinch the end of the earplug and pull it safely out of your ear. We recommend first trying to bend the tab down toward your ear lobe. If that doesn't work, then you can cut 1mm from the tab using scissors - that'll reduce the length of the tab and its sticking out. Just be careful because doing that might also make it a bit harder to pull out. **Q: Do these actually fit in the ear? I bought multiple sized foam plugs and they fall right out** A: These aren't similar to foam earplugs. The blue pair worked very well on noise cancelling. When my kids are in the house, I can't hear a thing. However, they hurt my ears after 2-3 hours and I end up taking them out for the rest of my sleep time. The white ones worked okay. I don't think they were good for sleeping. I could still hear a decent amount of sound with them in. Both pairs fell put while I was sleeping. No matter what I did. I tried inserting them differently and they still came out. I sleep on my back but occasionally switch to my side. Also, not a huge deal, but the carrying case wasnt big enough to fit both pairs without smashing them in.
