it's better than the original GoPro suction cup mount to use it in the car's dash. My car has a vinyl type of dash and the original GoPro suction cup mount does not adhere to it, but this one adhere itself firmly both to plastic and vinyl surfaces of the car. Good choice to use your GoPro on your dash.

Defective right out the box too! The nut was defective in some way. Either it was cross threaded or not threaded at all. I tried a different thumbscrew and did not work either, so I know it was the nut. Plus it is not a true suction cup. It uses adhesive to attach itself, not suction.

If I had known there is a very sticky glue-like film on the suction cup I would not have purchased this. The sticky bottom is not mentioned at all in the product description. I was hoping to use this on my car dashboard or even windshield but I do not want the sticky bottom to transfer onto the surface of my car, which I am certain will happen, especially under the hot summer sun.It's too inexpensive to justify paying extra shipping to return so I'll have to find another use for it, like putting it on something I won't mind messing up with sticky glue residue. Overall, I am disappointed in this purchase.

Suction doesn't hold too long.

I used it a couple of times and it works awesome. The suction keeps camera nice and steady. The one thing though is do not throw plastic away from surface of suction you need it to keep it integrity.

I bought the suction Cup, tried in vain to stick it to my dashboard and it couldn't stick for anything. :( thoroughly disappointed!

Mine seemed to be defective right out of the box and only stuck to the inside of my windshield for a grew minutes...without a camera attached!Contacted the company and they said they would send me a replacement. That was on July 24th. Once I receive the replacement and it works properly, I'll upgrade my review.
