Nice peddles. Their grab is great and I love how easy it it to fold them up. A good deal. Albeit, i don't understand why black ones are $2.00 more.

The factory pedals that came with my E-bike broke and almost caused me to crash, when the aluminum folding tab broke under stress. The folding mechanism on these is MUCH more sturdy, much better quality than the pedals that came with my eBike. But I am knocking them down one star because the tiny pegs on the pedals, that are designed to help your foot grip the pedal, are so sharp along the edges that they will cut you. I have drawn blood at least three times when hitting my shin on them. I will need to get out my hand grinder and smooth out the edges, so they will stop drawing blood. UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: I upgraded my rating from four stars to five stars, becasue I discovered the sharp cleats are threaded into place, and can be easily removed just by turning them out with a pliers. So if you need the sharp grip, you can leave them in, if you are an amateur biker and don't want to bleed, you can take them out. Also, these have held up very well with use, including a few wrecks. UPDATE TWO YEARS LATER: Do not remove the cleats. They hold an internal cap in place, that holds a spring in place, that keeps the pedals locked until you stow them. After riding a while without the cleats, the plug pops out, the spring gets lost, and you don't realize what happend until quite a while later when the pedal will not stay deployed. So, if you don't want sharp cleats, just take a dremel tool to round them out.

So much better than a plastic! So sturdy, grippy, very stable, durable and pretty in red! And, now, I’m pedaling! I would buy it again if I need to.

I am impressed with the quality of these pedals. Solidly built. My purpose for purchasing was to shorten the pedal while transporting on the bike rack. Carrying three bikes the previous pedals would beat up the other bikes. Now, folded, plenty of clearance. When pedaling, these pedals work perfectly with no foot slip. Not sorry I quit using my SPF cleats.

I am having some difficulty with this product stripping out the aluminum crank of my bikes. I have had four (4) strip out the cranks, all are on very lightly used bikes. The thread pitch is not defined anywhere and contacting the KOOTU customer support they were unable to determine what the correct thread pitch is, in fact they gave the wrong pitch to me twice. All they know is that it is 14mm in diameter. I caution anyone about this as your crank thread pitch as these pedals pitch thread may be slightly wrong. The standard bike pedal is a 9/16" with 20 threads per inch, 20tpi = 1.27mm. However, I believe these KOOTU pedals are not correctly threaded and that they are using a 1.411 thread pitch at the plant, which is a standard USA 9/16" UNF pitch. I have had to now re-thread 4 bike cranks, all of them on the right side, and now having to do the left sides and left-hand threads. KOOTU - a standard die of 14mm x1.25 cleans up significantly your pedal threads, and there is quite a lot of metal removed. If you are threading them correctly at 1.25 pitch then there should be little to no metal shavings removed. KOOTU, you are not threading them correctly with the correct thread pitch at your plant. Use 1.25 pitch not 1.411 pitch on standard 9/16" (14mm) bike pedals.

I rely on reviews and shop carefully. I hope this helps you. I had my mechanic install these so they were 100% proper. I had bought my folding bike pre-owned and the seller had put the (previous) pedals on backward, so I knew that threading properly was an issue. One of those (previous!) fell off about 2 miles from home and I did not want a repeat. If you DIY please realize you need to grease the threads with bicycle grease, and really tighten them each on the proper side and direction (watch a video) or (mechanic told me) the threads will be striped if you ride with them loose. These pedals are sturdier than what came with my bike, and of course they fold! There is a faint L and R printed on them. I fold the pedals when I stop somewhere and lock up my bike, so hopefully a potential thief will just move on rather than figure them out. Much easier to load the bike in the car whether it is folded or not. I may get folding pedals for my bike (non-folding) bike! I really like them.

De trappers zien er gelikt uit, maar al vrij snel viel bij 1 trapper een schroefje eruit waardoor de veer eruit vloog en ik die trapper noodgedwongen moest vervangen. Kortom mooi maar niet heel degelijk.

Sturdy aluminum. Light. Nice design. It might be a few mm wider. Very good for such price.

Mes pédales wellgo de la même gamme de prime se sont cassées en roulant. J'ai donc opté pour celles ci en aluminium et non plastique. Elles semblent robustes et en plus elles modifient le look de mon vélo, au moins personnes n'a les mêmes que moi en rouge! Elles accrochent bien au pied et se rétractent facilement. A voir dans le temps car je les plient chaque jour, pour le moment j'en suis très satisfaite et elles sont canons.

Demasiado feliz con mi compra. Tenía unos pedales de plástico que se rompieron después de un mes de uso y quise cambiarles por unos más duraderos. Elegí estos ya que son una aleación de aluminio y no me defraudaron. Estoy encantado con los sólidos y duraderos que son. Además, en rojo son divinos. Recomiendo al 100%!!

They are pedals, they install fine, and work. I will say the grip on thrm is much better thsn the OEM pedals, although that is not why I bought them. They actually save more room than I thought, the bike sitting closer to the wall that i figured it would. making the storage of my bike take up less space, and not likely to smash a shin on a pedal going by. Easy and quick to fold and unfold, with little risk of "accedently", getting folded as you ride. I chose this model because the lock design looked a bit stronger than other cheap folding pedals, using more of a pin, instead of just a thin piece of metal for a lock. Or like some mechanisms where you push the whole pedal in to fold, which can get knocked hitting a curb or something causing disaster, the inside button should prevent such occurrences from happening. Personally I would have preferred black, so as not to stand out. But these do look nice. And as mentioned not something I was looking for, but the grip is much better than the OEM pedals, that my shoes would occasionally slip off of. And for those concerned, the weight felt very close to the OEM pedals, do negligible extra weight. Something that could be important for those with things like underpowered 350W ebikes, that you shop with, so weight does add up and can matter. Not just the racers trying to shed weight. So far, after a 6km shopping run, these work well, extra load and strain, from pulling a trailer and all. And they do look nice, if you really care 😆. Definately recommend for any bike that needs to be stored indoors, or in a tight spot. Even helps carrying the bike up and down stairs with the pedals folded up. (Now what would be nice is a handlebar you can pop off, and store on the main bike frame or forks. Or be able to be turned turn 90° for easier storage). Used on a bolt pro in this case
