I am avoiding saying much about the movie details because I don’t want to spoil it. The film is long but seems like it was an hour. The actors are all great but DiCaprio and Penn are at their best. The newcomer, Chase Infinity, who plays a huge role, is a future star. The storyline, the action, the cinematography … everything about this movie is just amazing. I’ve read reviews of people who didn’t like the political aspect but it was essential to the story. I didn’t feel it was advocating as much as telling a pretty timely story about present day life. I saw it in the theater when it was re-released after the Award nominations and then immediately went home and ordered the blu Ray from desertcart. I’ve watched it several times because it is layered and a lot is happening. I am picking up new things each time. Oh yeah, Benicio del Toro is also excellent, as always. Great movie in every sense. Highly recommend. There’s a reason why it’s nominated for a bunch of Oscar Awards. I am so glad I knew nothing about this movie. The surprise of it was part of the joy! All I needed to know was new PTA.
