AKG Y100 Wireless Earbuds

Wow, I didn't think it was possible to have such high quality earbuds using bluetooth technology but AKG has done the impossible and raised the bar with the Y100 wireless in-ear headphones. Everything from the packaging to the build quality of the headphones just speaks of quality. The Y100 headphones are very unobtrusive with how they are designed since there is no large neck piece and are barely noticeable when you have them on, on more than one occasion I forgot I had them on. AKG made the Y100s very durable as I have fallen asleep with them and not once have they shown any sign of wear and tear. The Y100 headphones have multi-point technology which allow you to connect and switch seamlessly to two devices with Bluetooth at the same time. Another must have feature is the Ambient Aware Technology that activates with a touch of a button. Ambient Aware Technology allows you to hear your surroundings while still listening to your music, this feature alone makes the Y100 headphones worth their price as this feature is so helpful when out for a walk or anytime you don’t want to stop your listening. A solid upgrade from the UFlex: more comfortable and elegant, ambient sound feature actually works and comes in handy. All the buttons were remapped to one side to reduce confusion. The tonality is well balance and pure. It of course doesn't hold a candle to my audiophile shure iems but when I'm out and about its hard to tell and I appreciate the extra thump to cut through the mix and features for practical use. The one major complaint I have is how by cramming all the parts to one side the charger port suffered space constraints and the little fiddly lid attached by a seemingly fragile tab always fights my aim as I try to plug the thing in. The original UFlex rather than having a pull out cover hanging by a tab rotated fully out of the way. If only they put the charging port on the other side where there was plenty of space to implement a number of charging port lids designs. Perhaps to reduce the size they also got rid of the rumble feature and rather than a switch to power on and off the unit you press and hold the action button which would be okay if it vibrated or something to tell you but instead you have to just stare are the LED until it blinks red. I'd say these both costed it half a star. The 1st picture is the new charger lid and the 2nd is the old one

They have a excellent sound quality, for the price is perfect, but I honestly prefer more battery life, I only get 7.5 to 8 hours of battery, obviously that time translate to 3 to 5 days of charge but the AKG Y50BT have a better sound quality, more battery but the form factor is different.

I've had the wired versions for years, loved those and now I cant get over how good the bluetooth ones are either, I absolutely think these are a steal for the price. As someone who has sold different headphones over the years, you get more then you pay for for the price. Good quality, good sound, very, very reasonable price.

I have been using these everyday for awhile now and I am extremely happy with them. I almost never leave the house without them. They are extremely comfortable and forget I am even wearing them at all most of the time. I saw in one review that someone complained that there was no bass. I feel like this person may not have taken the time to properly try out the correct size earbuds for these. In the box, you get a choice between large, medium, and small buds. Please do try out all of them and figure out what size fits you best. When these are fitting properly they have very impressive bass in my opinion. From my experience when I tried the medium size out of the box the bass was indeed lacking as they were not able to be seated in my ear all the way. With earbuds you must have a good seal for good bass. No other way around it. I saw another review that complained that these do not isolate sound well. I think they isolate adequately when you have the proper size earbuds on. but my favorite thing about the Y100's is that I can choose to hear my surroundings when I need to which is extremely nice when I am at work and need to hear if someone calls my name. The "ambient aware" feature is really cool for this and really does work quite well. But I do use it sparingly because I feel like it drains the battery faster. More on the battery life... I can get about 9-10 hours out of these daily no problem if i don't use the ambient aware feature and keep the volume at around 50-75%. (safe listening volumes anyway. take care of your hearing!) But I've had a few days where I leave ambient aware on the whole time and I only manage to get about 7 hours before they die completely. So now I just use it sparingly. These pair just fine with my Galaxy Note 8 and iPad pro. Unfortunately they will not pair or even show up on my chromebook or laptop for some reason that I just don't understand. I'm sure there is a logical reason, but its a damn shame. I have to knock a start off for that. ---Warning!--- Micro USB rant below: The biggest thing that I am knocking a star off is Samsung/AKG DECIDING TO MAKE THESE CHARGE USING MICRO USB IN 2019. This is really frustrating and I just don't understand why they made this decision. I passionately *hate* Micro USB because it's a garbage design that always loses its ability to connect after maybe 400 or so uses. (thats not as much as it sounds). It boggles my mind even more when Samsung uses USB C on all of their products now. I know Samsung had some part of responsibility in the development of these because they sell these on the Samsung storefront and they acquired the AGK brand a few years ago. I fully expect the Micro USB port to fail on these after about a year or so which is really sad because these are otherwise fantastic wireless earbuds. I purchased a 4 year squaretrade warranty on these for $12 which is well worth it to be because I know these will fail because of this. I highly recommend you do too. You can even get a 2 year warranty for like $5. Totally worth it! but at the end of the day, I still really love these even with their flaws. Probably my favorite tech accessory I've bought this year. I look forward to see if they release a new version with USB C and the ability to connect with laptops.

These Bluetooth earbuds work great. They are not water proof, though. Have gotten sweat and splashed water on them. They still work. So far so good. Some people have said they sound horrible, no bass. But I think they sound fine to me. Maybe the other reviewer's didn't take time to try the different size ear pieces?

Je cherchais des bleutooths a bon marche sans sans sacrifier le son pour autant.bon se ne sont pas des senneiser mais tout de meme ils jouent.jai des akg et je prefere ceux ci a mes akg....seul bemol la boule pour ajuster les fil....trop serrer si vous yaller trop fort vous risquer d abimer le fil rouge et aussi les arceau qui sont apres lecouteur avec le temps ils se demancher.(petit arceau qui vas dans le.pavillon de loreil pour faire tenir les ecouteur.
