Thailand Sticky rice basket

I waited over 2 months for this to finally arrive. No fault to the seller, but Thai Post is excruciatingly slow (and customs does not help). What made the 3 stars is the 'size' of this little woven piece of bamboo...it is way too small to serve rice in. I took a picture to show the comparison between the cooker and the serving basket - it is rediculous. Seriously, the basket is almost too small for my hand to reach in. I was expecting a proper serving vessel; one that would hold the finished product from the cooking basket, as shown in the picture that I have posted. Honestly, this would not hold a single serving...very disappointing.

I have used these types of baskets for 50 years. My whole family does. I discovered that this basket was missing from my order. But when I notified Amazon.com and ImportFood they quickly reimbursed me. That is why I rated it highly. Both companies were very helpful and I would happily order from either.

This maybe holds 2 cups of rice packed down tops. I was disappointed because my rice still dries out when I put it in this container. I would not purchase again.

This was a housewarming & Christmas gift for my friend, so she can learn how to make sticky rice on her own. She loved it! Good product, easy to order and great price.

Small unit not large. Took along time to arrive.

This product is great for one size serving of sweet rice, the basket keeps the sweet rice warm and great for dinner presentation if you have guest over for dinner.

Wish it has a bigger size.
