Fine as a diffuser, the light does not work
I ordered two of these and the light does not work on either of them, in any setting. The diffuser fan works and I am hoping that it will keep the bugs away for my child's backyard party. I am disappointed since they are rather attractive and I was hoping to use them at a friend's summer place in the woods.

Sent this to my mom in Texas who was losing a battle to mosquitoes. She reported that this candle diffuser did the job. Will purchase again.

UNBITTEN!
I purchased this locally on clearance and didn't expect a lot from it. But with two dogs, I have been concerned with them knocking over the citronella candle. We have been spending early evenings on our patio for BBQs and to watch the sun go down and the fireflies begin their dance. I turn this on about a half hour before we go out, and so far we have not seen any mosquitoes in the vicinity, nor have we been bit.The chemical used is a combination of citronella and an extract from the geranium plant, both of which are natural. Since citronella is often strong enough to repel me, I am grateful for the much milder scent that this puts out.If you are one of those who naturally attract mosquitoes, you might want to do a bit of research before your patio excursions. Besides the candle, consider wearing light colored clothing, taking a shower (to reduce your perspiration smell) and avoiding fruity scents. A small fan to keep the breeze blowing and your skin dryer might also help.Even with all of those, mosquitoes are attracted to carbon dioxide, so unless we all stop breathing, we can only do our best. These are sold by various venders here on Amazon, so be sure to price around before you buy.
