Marvel's Captain Marvel: The Art Of The Movie Slipcase

I was not very familiar with Captain Marvel prior to the release of the recent film. This book is a production treasure for fans. Not only does it articulately describe the process through which the characters were visualized and created and re-created (which is a fascinating discussion in and of itself), but there are many fun historical tidbits relating to the characters, and how they tie in to the rest of the Marvel Universe. The book is gorgeous with full colored pictures and thorough explanatory text on the background and development/reasoning of this ground breaking character. It is a fun read whether you're a long time fan, new to the MCU or to this character. I didn't read any of the Marvel comics but have seen most of the MCU movies. The book is well written and a great value for the info it contains. If you love strong, complex female characters, or you're a comic fan this will be a great addition to your collection.

I enjoy the art work, it certainly immerses you into the world of Cpt Marvel and scanning the book gets the reader more excited to see the movie!

A little bit expensive but the quality of the art and the overall feel of the book make it worth it! If you're somewhat torn just go ahead and get it! You won't regret it!

I love it! Really high quality prints and great art. It's a little bit pricey, but definitely worth it.

Over 300 pages of this text is filled with images upon images of conceptual work. The primary bulk of the content is focused on character variations and costumes. There are 2 reasons I'm giving this book 4 stars... 1- I wish there was more attention placed on props and set dressing. Locations are covered within, but on the lesser side. 2- the slipcase is a nice addition to the book, but they are not constructed to withstand the bulk of the book. Mine was damaged on the top and bottom of the opening because it could not handle the weight. However, this book is a great addition to any Marvel fan collection and to anyone who loves the concept work of films.

An amazing book for an amazing movie! I love these types of books and getting to see the concept art that goes into making a movie. This one did not disappoint.

Love the content and the box cover’s artwork. This is a great MCU artbook to add to the collection

Beautifully designed, and put together. The imagery is fantastic, and gives you a glimpse into how the movie came together. Also shows you some things that didn't make the film, which is an added bonus. A must buy for anyone who is a fan of the film, or a collector of these particular series of Marvel hard covers.

Lo que me sorprendió al principio fue el peso. No esperaba que pesase tanto y es que está lleno de un montón de arte precioso. Llegó rápido y todo correcto.

Another one added to my collection. This one is just as good as the others I have bought and is a great collectors item. Beautiful illustrations and images in vivid colour throughout the book. Highly recommended to anyone who is a Marvel fan.

This is part of an on going collection of this .
