Worth it.
Installation:I installed this in a 2018 Tacoma SR5. The installation was easy enough, and took me about 45 minutes. The instructions could have been a bit clearer, but they aren't bad. This shouldn't be an issue if you have installed any car audio stuff in the past.If you have the same model that I do you're going to want to plug the backup camera into the video input, not the "front camera" input. This unit comes with a microphone that you can fish through the dash if you want, however I found that the call quality on the built in microphone was acceptable.Functionality:First and foremost this is an android tablet that happens to also be a car head unit. This is great because of android's open source nature. However this isn't going to have the GUI out of the box of a traditional infotainment centerI was able to connect my iPhone easily through Bluetooth, and it automatically picked up CarPlay. The volume knob is a great addition, and I'm glad I went with the model that has it.Audio Quality:The audio quality is miles better than the OEM head unit, and comes through crystal clear even without an additional amp.Looks:This is a very nice looking dash replacement. It isn't so large that it is tacky, or obstructs vision. The dash part also looks OEM.Gripes:The touch screen is not as responsive as an Alpine head unit or an iPad, but it's not as laggy as a Kenwood, and hasn't been bad enough to annoy me.You will lose your factory USB port. I plan to get a couple of aftermarket USB dash ports and use those.Final Thoughts:All-in-all I would say that this is defiantly worth the money, and is an easy mod to add modern functionality to your Tacoma.

Great Tacoma head unit
I have been using this head unit for 2 weeks, and am super impressed so far. I love running a full Android-based head unit, it works with Android Auto, works with Apple CarPlay, and also works great on it's own with a Wifi hotspot or SIM card for data. It has the app store built in, so I can run offline map apps like OnX Offroad and other navigation apps without connecting to my phone, as well as any of the many media apps in the Play store. The screen has impressive resolution, and it has enough built-in memory to keep an offline music library handy for when I go camping off the grid.I've been looking for a plug and play replacement for my 2019 Tacoma that keeps all of the stock functions for a long time, and haven't found many that work with my JBL system, this one does. It also works with the non-JBL Tacomas using a different harness. The sound quality is great, and the price is very good compared to other solutions I have looked into. Almost* every nitpick I have found with this system can be resolved with the right settings changes and correct installation. Now for the the only reasons I hesitate to give a full 5 star review, and things that may cause some frustrations:Firstly, the installation instructions that come with the system are quite lacking, as others have said. The canbus unit may need to be moved to a different harness, it took me some time to realize this. Also, the grounding wire needs to be attached to a screw in the back of the head unit well, and the microphone/gps antenna/4g antennas all need to be routed through the dashboard. There are YouTube videos that can help greatly with this, but I found it to be more confusing than I expected.Secondly, I had sound issues until I discovered that the 'Delay' setting in the amplifier and changed the auto/manual setting. This amplifier tab also functions as the fade/balance setting, which is somewhat un-intuitive. Once I learned how it worked, this issue was correctible.Lastly, but perhaps very important to some, the screen polarization is horizontal, and if you are wearing polarized sunglasses, this will be an issue. I liked the head unit enough to get new lenses, but it is probably my single biggest complaint about the unit. I could not see anything without tilting my head while wearing my usual lenses.

Dasaita G13 Head Unit
First impressions have been great. The head unit looks extremely clean and modern, and the physical knob is a huge plus since most units have moved away from that. CarPlay connects quickly and has worked flawlessly.Installation was simple and straightforward. The instructions were clear, making it easy to figure out where everything went and how the setup process worked.Overall, Iโm really happy with the unit so far. It has one of the cleanest OEM-style designs on the market and fits the interior perfectly.

Dasaita Head Unit for Toyota Tacoma 2019
I really regret buying this head unit. On paper, the specs look impressive: 11.6" screen, Android 13, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, and OEM styling. In reality, it has been nothing but frustration.- Build Quality: It feels cheap and is already falling apart. The โOEM styleโ claim does not hold up once installed, since it does not fit as seamlessly as advertised.- Performance: Despite the big specs, it runs painfully slow. Apps lag, menus take forever to load, and wireless CarPlay constantly drops connection.- Reliability: The system crashes often, and navigation is unreliable. It is not something I would trust on an off-road trip.- Value: For the price, I expected something solid and smooth. Instead, it is clunky, unstable, and disappointing.Bottom line: This unit sucks. It is slow, poorly built, and not worth the hassle. Save your money and look for a more reliable option. At the very least i can hear the sound off the unit, but definitely removing it from my truck.

Better than stock
Better than the 2019 stock radio, thatโs for sure. Everything works great, the installation was easy and the screen is very responsive. When in reverse, the backup cam does takes a couple of seconds to show, but not a big deal for me. The customer support team is quick to respond specifically Mia, who answered all my questions quickly. I definitely recommend it!

quit working after 2 months! UPDATE
Update: 6/21/2026- after about roughly a month, Dasaita got back with me after sometime and some pushing, and they very kindly changed out the broken one for a new one, and it works again! Great customer service, shout out to Serena, she was great on on top of things! Definitely changing from 2 stars to 4! i feel iffy about whether or not it will go out again, but it's good to know Dasaita got on it! it was great when it worked! loved how it looked, i could watch streaming services on my breaks at work, the sound customization was amazing! about 2 months in however, it entirly quit working... First was the back up camera, just had a caution sign... so i figured the connection for that came loose or something, I took it apart and checked to see if everything was connected correctly and was secure, it was, and no matter what i did (i spent 6 hours trying everything i could to get it working again) it would not turn on.. i reconnected my oem radio and it works just fine... my return window closed and was trying to get in touch with Dasaita for a replacement unit if it's possible, but it seems going through amazon makes it impossible to get in touch with them!

If you have any problems at all, no matter how small Serena will fix it!
I took my time and installation went good. The rear camera didn't function but I had a pretty good idea why, there are two possible yellow camera connectors that could be used and with all my luck being bad I chose the wrong one. Once I changed it to the other one it worked. After using it for a couple weeks I noticed that the radio had a spot that appeared to have some text scrolling from the radio station broadcast messages that could not be seen except for a small space less than a full letter wide. I reached out to Dasaita and Serena sent me an update. I tried it but it would not take even though I had followed all the instructions and formatted the USB to fat32. Remember my luck pattern I mentioned earlier.... I tried updating it with different USB I had and it updated as it should. First USB must not have been of very good quality. These are the only things I have had done so far, this is much better than the stock head unit in my 2016 Tacoma that Toyota killed in a very unforgivable 4-5 years.

Headaches from the start, wouldn't recommend
I just purchased this Dasaita G13 Carplay Stereo for my 2018 Toyota Tacoma, and there are some things that are pretty neat about this unit, but it has some serious issues too, so buyer beware.First off, the bad:- The software on my unit crashes and reboots frequently, sometimes every minute or so. Out of the box, I was seeking solutions and software updates, what a pain.- The support website and forum aren't very helpful, as it's difficult or impossible to easily find firmware & MCU updates.- Currently, MCU update files are given upon request only via the forum, and it takes a few days for them to respond, it seems. Still waiting for support for my new unit.- Was able to find and apply a firmware update, but this only helped so much. The unit still crashes. I suspect Zlink and OS 26.- When CarPlay is activated, the system is slow & sluggish, not smooth.- Doesn't use any of the factory bolt mounting points to fasten into place and relies on OEM snap clips only. This makes installation easier, but I believe the stereo should be better bolted to the dashboard, as it doesn't take too much force to pull it out. Would come loose in a collision.- The unit takes a good while to boot. If you want to use the backup camera, you are going to have to wait for the OS to spin up. Can't just hop into the car, throw it in reverse, and back up.- The volume knob is cheeeeapThe Good:- Like the OEM look.- Has a volume knob- Easy enough to install for a stereo.- Keeps OEM features and gives you access to some other car settings you couldn't access with the OEM unit- Adds extra camera inputs- Decent sound quality- Nice screen size increase over OEM.Slow/spotty support and software issues out of the gate really damage my perception of any sort of longevity with this product. If it just worked out of the box, I would have been impressed, but this experience is the opposite. But seriously. You get what you pay for, and this unit might be junk. I'll update my review if something changes, but for now, I expect I will be returning the unit and throwing my OEM stereo back in while I wait for a Stinger or Sony Unit.
