I purchased my first sewing machine this year to make masks. I really had no clue what i was doing. Somehow my original bobbin case got out of place and my sewing needle pierced it. It was easy to replace and a this was a perfect fit for my Singer 3342.

Singer 4432. I was really excited when I saw this - it looks nearly identical to the OEM part. The only snafu I noticed is that the paint on the tension screw looks like it will make it hard/impossible to adjust the tension. As for functionality, I was immediately disappointed. The thread does not slip over the bobbin case. It snags/catches on the case and jams the bobbin instantly. PICTURES: OEM Part has a YELLOW tension screw. Amazon part has a GREEN tension screw. Front view, back, side, and top. I noticed the biggest difference on the top view. The OEM metal looks polished and smooth.

This new replacement, resolved my issue I had with my Singer 4423 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine. However, it seems the machine does not like plastic parts. If i could find a metal one I would use that. I think the machine is off or designed with a flaw. Amazon delivered as it said it would. Arrived in small packaging and was easy to replace existing one, that came with machine.
