Works like a charm on an acoustic ceiling
I needed to paint an acoustic ceiling that had previously been painted. I dreaded the task, expecting that I would either end up smashing the pieces of "popcorn", or that I would end up with gaps in the paint. I watched YouTube videos on how to paint an acoustic ceiling and both professional painters insisted on only using this kind of roller head. It worked like a charm. I covered the ceiling (previously painted a tan color) in white in just one coat with this roller head. I highly recommend it. Do try to watch a YouTube video of a professional painter painting one of these ceilings if this will be your first time; it may save you from dripping paint all over. I didn't drip much at all.

I love this roller. It's ideal for repainting the doors in my house, providing a smooth finish without holding excess paint. The roller is also very easy to clean and dries quickly. However, a word of caution: don't let the roller dry with anything touching it, as it will form a dent that could transfer to the surface the next time you use it.

Worth the money. Ceilings with one coat instead of 2.
Saved me all sorts of time. One coat instead of 2. Washed out well for the next use.

Wonderful BUT for a large room buy 4
Good roller for popcorn ceiling but I would suggest buying more than one if you are doing a large room. The popcorn can get stuck in the paint on the brush and make you miss some spots but when you do your second coat it fixes the spots missed.

DON'T SHED MATERIAL INTO YOUR PAINT
These work really well. They are durable and hold up to many jobs if you clean them. They are a good value. THey don't shed much lint into the paint you are applying.
