This allows me to plug in my RV to a 15A "regular" socket using a (longer) "regular" extension cord. Like any simple product with a simple task this one does the job very well. There were no quality problems with the cord and it fit as expected to the main input on the RV and has a good hold with the "contractors" weight extension. Note: Care must be exercised when using a lower rated circuit with a higher rated system. Manage power carefully to avoid overloading the circuit. While 15 amp circuits commonly call for 14 gauge wire, I'd suggest using a 12 gauge extension cord just for extra electrical safety and to avoid potential overheating of the cables.

I have had 2 of these since 2017, running 24/7 between 3 & 10a draw for server equipment. Zero issues.

This adapter is exactly what I needed when I replaced my pool pump and filter with a Blue Torrent model. I had no idea it was a twist-lock until I went to plug it in. I did a lot of googling to see what my options were. An adapter was going to be my easiest option. I ordered one from Lowes that said it would at the store the next day. Still waiting for it. I order this adapter at 9 pm Thursday night (5/21/2020) and it arrived on Saturday at 3 pm (5/23/2020), during the COVID-19 pandemic. The quality of the adapter is impressive. Heavy-duty, thick gauge cord and connections. A steal at $10.

This is an excellent twist plug adapter. My swimming pool pump has a 1.5 horse motor needing to be on a 20 AMP, GFCI outlet. The motor has a twist plug with a 12 gauge cord. This adapter worked perfectly and enabled conversion to a standard pigtail extension cord without reducing the gauge of the cord. The pool stores only carry 15 gauge replacement pigtail cords for the motor. 15 gauge is inappropriate for a 1.5 horse motor; the pool supply stores were actually willing to sell me the thing knowing that.I went to Gross Electric and they had nothing like this. It would have cost a lot of money to have them make something and it would not have been suitable for outdoors. Thank You, Coleman Cable. You saved me a big headache and quite a bit of money.

I purchased this adapter for my newly installed pool and the house GFCI circuit. I needed to run my pump on low to clean the water prior to installing the dedicated 20 amp GFCI circuit. The adapter worked fine. I no longer use this adapter since my electric is installed but it was worth the money.

I bought this for a server power strip. This is great to change any L5-20p into a regular outlet plug. Be aware of the amperage that your items will pull. I have a 20 amp breaker specific for this use.

Exactly what I needed to convert my Hayward pool pump connection to a standard US three prong outlet connection. Works flawlessly and locks together nicely. Only about a foot long pump does the job. Would buy again!

This adapter is perfect. All of my circuits in my house are 20 amps, but only 15 amp plugs (like most homes in the US). I had a power strip (actually a server Power Distribution Unit) that required a 20 amp locking plug (L5-20). This adapter let me plug in the power strip without cutting the cord and attaching my own plug. This will work well until I get around to changing my outlets to 20 amp outlets. The only downside to this cable is that it is so stiff. It has almost no flex to it. When plugged into the wall, it wants to stick straight out, which can cause it to want to unplug with the weight. This is a little annoying, but really just means that the cable actually does have 12 gauge solid core wire inside. It is very well made.

Great little product. Works well with my camper trailer when plugging into a 15 amp service. I don't have to dig our my 30 amp land line and adapter just to plug in as I have an extension cord.
