Q: I live of the grid with a very low water pressure can I connect this to my water heater if so would It turn of automatically once plugged in?

These are made for trailers and RVs. They are to be installed before the hot water heater not after. They do have a pressure switch built-in and will automatically shut off when you turn your Faucet off.

Q: For the seller...What is the diapragm made of?

The seals are rubber I'm sure, I don't think is is a diaphragm pump, it has pistons.

Q: Will it turn off automatically to prevent overheating?

This (4300) pressure switch version does not have a thermal switch. The 4100 version without the pressure switch does have a thermal switch. There are too many variables to predict the duty cycle in minutes. The most important spec. is the 25 PSI continuous duty line in the performance curve for the no pressure switch version. The 4300 cut-in pressure is 30 psi and cut-out is 45 psi.. Since the cut-in pressure is higher than the continuous duty pressure, the pump is always running in an intermittent duty cycle unless the pressure demand is 25 psi or less, in which case continuous duty operation is possible.. The shortest duty cycle will be warm water input and high ambient operating temperature. This is likely to be the shortest ~ 15 minute duty cycle. With cold city or tank water and colder ambient temperatures, the duty cycle is likely much longer
